From the moment we checked in everything was perfect. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, showed us to the room and around the room. The veiw over the lake was amazing and the room was spacious and well equipped. Traditional Japanese breakfast is well worth trying and the amount of effort that goes into it is nothing less than impressive. If we find ourselves at the lake in the future we would definitely stay here again. Being right at the lake and only a 15 minute walk from the bus terminal makes this an ideal location, the sightseeing bus provides and excellent opportunity to get out and about and there are plenty of places to visit along it's route, and definitely take the cable car or walk up to get great views of Mount Fuji. Can't recommend enough, thank you for an amazing stay.

Very nice view. Private bath options. There was a souvenir shop inside the hotel itself. Staff were overall responsive and helpful. The boy who helped us prepare our meal was very nice and courteous. Super pleased with the food portions as it was my Asian American husband's first ryokan experience. Wished the futons were a bit fluffier/thicker but given it was still fairly hot weather season, we still passed out no problem in the soft duvet.

A long commute to get there and it was a bit tricky communicating with them on the Booking.com app but you can always call them with the help from the information centre at the Kawaguchiko bus station. Very easy to get in touch from then on.

The property location was great looking out across the lake and close to a selection of restaurant, food trucks and close to Lawsons. Next door was a bike rental shop which was very handy so we could ride electric bikes around the town and to view Mt Fuji from Oishi Park. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel which we wish we had eaten at as the included breakfast was incredible and with a great view. The staff made us feel as though we were at a private tea ceremony they were so wonderful!!! They were very attentive and we felt well looked after and nothing was too much trouble for them. The attention to detail throughout the venue was magnificent esp for the price which I believe was incredibly reasonable compared to other venues. There is a private Onsen for hire on the roof top as well as a public Onsen. We used the larger onsen downstairs but had it to ourselves. So you of Highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be back.

The hotel is about an 11-minute walk from the station. The staff were really friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.

Unfortunately, there were quite a few things that made the stay disappointing. There was mold visible in several areas around the hotel. The private onsen was also quite different from the photos — it felt much more dated and heavily used than expected. The room itself was alright, but the sheets, towels, and pajamas all felt heavily worn and used. You could both see and feel the age of them. The biggest disappointment, however, was the food. We understand that Japanese cuisine can be very different from what we’re used to, and that’s completely fine. The problem was that there was very little explanation about what we were eating or how/when certain dishes were supposed to be eaten. We booked one private kaiseki dinner, and honestly, we were glad we only booked one. We were seated in a closed room on inexpensive Western-style dining chairs, and unfortunately the overall experience — including the food — wasn’t very enjoyable. Breakfast also gave the impression that some of the same food from dinner was being reused, which didn’t leave a great impression. Overall, for the price we paid, I’m not sure the experience was worth it. The friendly staff were definitely a positive, but the hotel’s condition, the food experience, and the worn-out linens and clothing made it difficult to justify the price.
