Sura Hagia Sophia Hotel

Warisha at guest relation has been amazing from the moment we walked in to the hotel and the restaurant. We felt genuinely welcomed. The staff was friendly, What really made the experience memorable was the exceptional hospitality.

Restaurants around the hotel are a bit abusing to visit them and eat there, but area is touristic so it’s always like that

Nothing…everything was perfect

The breakfast and the location are good. The breakfast is generous and tasty, and the staff working in this part of the hotel were kind and responsive. The location of the hotel is the best part it is in the exact center. Thе main attractions are on walking distance.

We stayed at the hotel for four nights, and unfortunately, we were not satisfied with our experience at all. When we first entered the room, the toilet was not clean and there were visible signs that it had been used. There were also clumps of dust on the floor in several places. We asked the staff to clean the room again, but they did not even apologize, and it did not appear that the room had actually been cleaned afterwards. The bathroom drain kept getting clogged, and it was obvious that the rooms had not been renovated for a long time. Some of the furniture was visibly worn from years of use. Every day, we also had problems with our key cards and were unable to open our room door. We were told that the cards were being demagnetized, although I don’t know whether this was an issue affecting other guests as well. Overall, considering the cleanliness issues, the maintenance of the room, the repeated problems with the key cards, and the poor communication regarding the airport transfer, we expected a much higher standard of service from the hotel. We were also very disappointed with the way our stay ended. The hotel concierge contacted us via WhatsApp and offered to arrange transportation to the airport. We accepted and had a lengthy conversation about the pick-up time, which was explicitly confirmed to us. However, on the morning of our flight, the reception told us that the transportation had not been paid for and that they were not responsible because it was handled by the concierge. From our perspective, this distinction was irrelevant, as the concierge was contacting us on behalf of the hotel. There were also no clear instructions indicating that we had to pay in advance, so we naturally assumed that payment would be made to the driver. Fortunately, they eventually managed to arrange a regular taxi for us.
