Excellent location, very clean with friendly, helpful staff.

Zuallererst möchte ich sagen, dass das Personal super war! Ich habe drei Menschen an der Rezeption kennengelernt und jede/r Einzelne war super freundlich und hilfsbereit! Dann ist natürlich die Lage klasse: ich kam spät abends mit dem Zug an und musste nur 5 Minuten laufen. Das Zimmer war sauber und hatte alles, was man für eine Nacht benötigt.
Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist wohl Amsterdam geschuldet, denn fast 90€ war das Einzelzimmer mit rudimentärer Einrichtung, einem Fenster mit Blick auf eine Mauer normalerweise wirklich nicht wert. Das können auch die positiven Aspekte leider nicht ausgleichen.

La struttura si trova in una zona centralissima a cinque minuti dalla stazione centrale (Amsterdam Centraal). È possibile girare la città a piedi senza prendere nessun mezzo
La struttura non presenta ascensore e le scale per salire nelle stanze sono ripide. Per noi non è stato un problema.

La limpieza, ubicación y el personal que es sumamente amable. Nos permitieron dejar las maletas después del check out y usar el baño, la persona de recepción fue sumamente amable y atento.

Location, bar area, staff, good shower, good amount of toilet paper and towels. Offered to store luggage when checking out. Early check in and late check out no extra charge.
Expected hair dryer in room but was able to access one at reception. Room was more basic than I expected for price paid. Stairs too steep. We've stayed in a Dutch hotel before but it had a lift however stairs access was mentioned when I booked. Problems with safe however this was rectified quickly. Room needs refurbishing however work is currently being carried out on hotel but price should have reflected this. It didn't. Lack of sockets in room.

It was very good localized in the middle of city.
There were renovations on top floor - above my room, so It was kind of noise, couldn’t rest after arrived or in the morning.

Location was great and a nice reception area the staff were friendly
To be honest the noise was horrendous we were staying on same floor as reception which saved us climbing all those stairs and you could hear every single person passing at all hours and people up above us also so I would say bring good ear plugs. Also the cleaner is hoovering out our door about 8 am ever morning it's bad enough not getting good sleep over noise of people but then to have hoover outside the door that early.

La ubicación, ya que está a 5 minutos caminando de Amsterdam Centraal. Además puedes acceder al resto de la ciudad sin problemas desde el hotel.

The location of this hotel is amazing, you can reach the main places of the city by walking. Room was big enough for the group of 4 people we went there and they offered to clean our room every day.
Special mention to the staff of the hotel, specially the receptionist. There was one receptionist every night during our stay who was fantastic with our whole group (he even made us loats of hot dogs at 7am when my group and me came from a party in Amsterdam and were a bit annoying, but he still behave and made us feel appreciate and good take care) - I am not confident but his name but it might be something like Reres or Renes. If you read this we want to say thank you for your job.
If you come with heavy luggage there is steep and narrow stairs that let you struggle a bit while carrying it. Also, room looks a bit old but still ok.

La atención de la recepción. El señor que está durante la tarde/noche me ayudó a encontrar tren para llegar al aeropuerto. Fue súper amable. Otra cosa muy buena es la ubicación del hotel, está muy cerca de la estación y de puntos importantes de la ciudad.
Habitaciones muy pequeñas.

Ubicación céntrica
Nos toco el último piso , sin ascensor y unas escaleras mínimas! Venimos de varios días de viaje con maletas de cierto tamaño! Fue extenuante, con terror a resbalarte y tener q llegar a una clínica (así de angostas son las escaleras)

La ubicación, fabulosa, cerca de la estación del tren y en pleno centro de la ciudad. Se podía ir andando a todos lados. El personal muy atento y amable.

Walking distance to the Central Train Station, Room was clean and comfortable.
The entire property started on the second floor without an elevator so we had to carry our suitcases up a steep set of stairs to reach the reception and then a narrow set of stairs to reach our room. No refrigerator in the room.

We had a great stay at Hotel van Gelder! It was a very close walk to local transport and positioned across from the water - we had a beautiful view! The staff were friendly and helpful and we were luckily able to get access to our room earlier, helpful after a very long journey. We felt very safe at Hotel van Gelder and loved how close it was to everything that central Amsterdam had on offer. We’d stay again, thanks for having us!

Hot attic converted to a room, had to climb 4 floors of extremely steep stairs to the most uncomfortable bedroom
