The Chi Boutique Hotel

I stayed several times at the Chi Boutique Hotel in Hanoi during my travels around Vietnam. Upon arriving in Vietnam my luggage and that of a couple of my friends in the group didn't arrive as it was lost in transit at CDG Paris. The tour manager at the hotel Lily was excellent in chasing up our luggage with Vietnam Airlines at Hanoi, ensuring it was located in Paris and sent out on the next flight out and delivered to us at our hotel 24 hours later. If it wasn't for Lily we could have been without our luggage for several days which would have been very difficult. I booked the Deluxe room which was very nice and spacious, and got a good deal through Booking.com

I stayed in 3 different rooms at the hotel over the course of my travels. As the hotel is in an excellent location near the old quarter of Hanoi the streets can be rather noisy late into the evening, especially if you're overlooking the street on a lower floor. In one of my rooms there was an issue with the shower mixer which meant I had a tepid cold shower.

Very central and well located in Old Quarter. The Suite is definitely worth it.

The hotel does not have much infrastructure, but it is good value for money.

Good staff. Good location. Mr Soo was very helpful.

It’s very central in Hanoi

We didn’t sleep well there was a lot of noise from passing traffic and also from shouting in the street - the hotel could have moved us to one of the other rooms as they would have known this. Also I had a lot of communication saying our payment could not be processed when they had exactly the same details as all the other places we stayed at . There is also quite an odd odour throughout the hotel
