We spent a beautiful four-day weekend in the prime of the fall foliage season and this was a beautiful lake location for our stay. It did take a bit of a drive to get to the wineries on Seneca lake, but we enjoyed spa treatments, wine tastings, and amazing dinner at the Aurora inn and lots of quality time at the house and around in the area. The rental was easy and the house was in need of some upgrades but in good shape and clean. The owners were sweet and very thoughtful with many little details and recommendations for a great stay. We definitely want to come back again!

Awesome, well equipped lake house with lovely lake views, pretty sunsets and outstanding amenities. We had 3 generations stay comfortably with plenty of space to cook, visit and relax. The dock and boat lift are easy to use and help get onto the lake. We’ll be back for sure!

Paul and Debbie are great hosts and very responsive and accommodating. I actually think the pictures don’t do the house justice. The kitchen was remodeled and the connecting living room is ample space for a get together. When the weather is nice, you can really spread out on the screened in porch, the deck overlooking the lake, the lower deck or the fire pit. We found this to be a great spot for our family and would love to come back and book the place next door (same owners) also to accommodate a growing family. Thanks for a great time!

We loved this property! I have never heard so much quiet in my life! Sitting on the deck early morning w your coffee watching the loons and the ducks was so cool. As far as amenities, it was as if you were walking into a different version of your own home. If you could possibly need it or forget it - it's there!! Location was great even if you plan to hit the wineries on the other side of the lake. Paul was great accommodating a last minute pet. We will be staying again and may look to rent the house next door as well for a larger group.

We loved our stay at Sunset Paradise! The house is lovely, well-stocked, and has a new, fully screened in porch that is perfect for dining outside. It is right on the lake with beautiful sunset (and moonset) views! We will be back.

Sunset Paradise is a cozy lakeside house that does really well for a long weekend. Well situated along the lake and nearby some local wineries and breweries, it’s well appointed and maintained for a comfortable weekend!

This was a wonderful get away with a nice balance of space to have time together and time alone. It was wonderful to be able to listen to the waves and enjoy being so close to the water. We struggled to figure out the hot water in the kitchen but the showers were lovely. We are grateful that the owners were flexible and allowed us to extend our last day into the afternoon.

We were a party of friends who choose to have Thanksgiving somewhere different every year. We look for cozy, a good kitchen, enough beds and near a body of water. Wow! we got lucky. We had one small problem, called the owner and it was cleared up in about 30 minutes, (on Thanksgiving - yes we felt bad). I, the writer of this review, would highly recommend this beautiful home on the lake. BTW - the kitchen was stocked with condiments, spices, food wraps and a variety of teas.

We really enjoyed our time. Having never spent time directly on a lake, we didn’t know what to expect. House had all the necessities. It was clean and comfortable. Did some kayaking and feeding the ducks. Amenities were as stated.

The property was the perfect relaxing getaway- you won't get closer to the water than this, right up to the bottom step but bring water shoes... the rocks are a little slippery. The views in all directions are really spectacular. The inside is extremely comfortable, air conditioned, comfortable beds, stocked kitchen... you'll find what you need. Nearby quaint town of Aurora was good for any last minute things we had to pick up. The hosts left us a bottle from the neighboring vineyard- very nice touch and they were very responsive with our questions.
Biggest advantage for us was the top level deck setup- it's all enclosed and with our two dogs this was critical for us to be able to relax.. they were able to roam outside on the large shaded deck without having to be tied up. (We still managed to let one slip by us during check out but that was just user error! ;)
We booked very last minute and consider ourselves lucky to have found this home-

Just what we needed!
Perfect get away! Location and accommodations are top notch! Debbie and Paul were always available by text, and even helped us dock the boat we rented when a storm popped up. The house has everything you need for a super comfortable stay, and all sorts of little extras to make it feel like home. Cannot thank them enough!

Pictures Perfect
Sunset Paradise was exactly as described and included well equipped kitchen and baths. Appliances were easy to use, outside gas grill was especially appreciated as well as the washer and dryer. The owners left a bottle of delicious local wine. All rooms were very clean with plenty of towels and clean bed linens. Easy access to the water for the kids with water toys on the lower level. Sunsets watching from tje upper deck were gorgeous. Thoughtful ownership.

We used the lake house to celebrate my son’s graduation from Cornell. Absolutely great time using the house and enjoying the local community. The local brewery up the street was a outstanding which we ended canceling our Ithaca restaurant reservation and celebrated there for two nights. Great fun. Highly recommended. Would do it again 100 times.
