Kings Arms Hotel

Wonderful location in a delightful setting. The hotel is great, appearing to be newly updated. Staff were charming, breakfast excellent. Parking very accessible

Nothing

The location, stayed at the hotel as attended a wedding at the hotel.

‘Didn’t like’ not quite the right wording - there were a couple of issues. The first was regarding privacy, we were in a lower room in the annex and felt that it would have benefited from a privacy curtain in the window as felt we were on view to passing guests especially when they used the side door. Secondly due to the hotel preparing for the Heritage Day in Amersham on the Sunday breakfast was not up to the standard of the previous morning, less choice and buffet style.

The character of the property was amazing.

The lack of character in the actual rooms of the hotel

BREAKFAST

MADE 2 SEPERATE BOOKINGS MONTHS AND WEEKS IN ADVANCE. ON THE DAY THERE WAS A FAIR THAT SHUT THE ROAD AND MEANT NO ACCESS TO CAR PARK AND HUGE AMOUNT OF INVASIVE NOISE. THE FAIR IS AN ANNUAL EVENT SO THE HOTEL SHOULD HAVE INFORMED US PRIOR TO OUR STAY OF THE POTENTIAL NOISE AND INCONVENIENCE. HAD TO PARK 10 MINUTES WALK AWAY AND NOISE WAS UNACCEPTABLE. COMPLAINED TO RECEPTION STAFF THAT WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED IN ADVANCE OF POTENTIAL ISSUES AND WAS TOLD WOULD BE PASSED TO MANAGER. NO RESPONSE RECEIVED FOR 5 DAYS AND SHE DID NOT REPSOND TO THIS POINT ABOUT WHY WE WERE NOT TOLD IN ADVANCE. WROTE A SECOND TIME BUT NO RESPONSE TO SECOND EMAIL. VERY POOR COMMUNICATION AND ATTITUDE.
