Very clean, kind stuff, great facilities. I particularly liked the library area. I ended up working there.

Location and service

Very unique property. Minimalist & modern. Thoughtful touches like high end products, bath robe/slippers & coffee/fruit, water on each floor. Fantastic craft drinks & interesting food in the restaurant downstairs with excellent service/chic DJ type vibe. Breakfast was lovely and the location was fabulous. Easy to navigate, close to public transportation, lots around & interesting part of Basel. There is a private sauna available to reserve and gym on sight which is nice. I loved that the suite had a massive walk in shower with both rainfall overhead & handheld options as well as a generous soaking tub. I loved the window seat as well as the sliver window to allow fresh air.

I was on the 5th floor and the elevator was broken the entire stay. The desk attendant that was there when I checked in did help me carry my luggage up on arrival which was nice, but still not ideal. The place almost felt “too cool”.. A bit sterile, lots of concrete and the suite I stayed in was both lux and a bit ominous simultaneously. Electrical outlets could have been more well planned. None by the work desk and the ones by the bed were in use. I booked on recommendation & did not check it out for myself as I likely should have. I would probably have selected a different property—given my experience and the price, I didn’t find the value.

Staff were pretty variable - evening arrival felt like an imposition. No aircon - roasting.
