The hotel rooms themselves are a little tired and slightly corporate feeling, but the staff were brilliant.
The doors don't block out any sound at all. If people are moving on your floor it's feels like they're about to walk through the door and join me.
No way to contact reception as the phone in my room was faulty and a call from my mobile went unanswered as I feel the staff are stretched.

Large well appointed room. Very welcoming staff. Location and proximity to racecourse was excellent.

Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast selection was good and food was tasty. Hotel was easy to find and just a short distance off the M6, so very convenient.
Rooms were a bit tired and could do with a bit of a refresh. Restaurant was a bit disorganised in the evening and not a very exciting menu. Granted, some menu items were unavailable due to a supply issue, but the food we did order was very mediocre and disappointing. My husband said his Chicken Tikka Masala was the worst he'd ever tasted. There were no other restaurants in the immediate vicinity, so due to having small children and having had a long journey that day, we were stuck with the hotel restaurant.
