Abalú Collection Hotel Boutique Gran Via

Posizione comoda! Tranquillo

Pulizia, ordine, buon gusto nell'arredo, veramente molto bello e chic, non per tutti.

Pulita e accogliente

The location was convenient for exploring Madrid, very close to Noviciado metro station and walking distance to Gran Via. The staff we encountered were very nice and the room was clean overall. The entrance is a cute and cosy lounge in front of the reception. We appreciated a room facing the internal courtyard making it a quieter stay.

Unfortunately there was an unpleasant smell from the drainage around the entrance and bathroom (sink was inside the room in the corridor), and shower & toilet cabin had a flimsy sliding door which only closed up to 90%. This meant we had to keep the windows open to maintain the smell and there was not much privacy in using the bathroom. The shower water pressure was not particularly great either and the water temperature was better in the morning than late night but the morning showers were still perfectly adequate. To be fair, we did not raise any of these issues with the hotel because we knew we had booked the last available room, and as we arrived very late due to a severely delayed flight and only had a few busy days left, we did not want to waste precious holiday time.
