I stayed at this hotel as a stopping off point on my journey to see my sister in Aberdeenshire. and combine the stop with an opportunity to see Jacqui McShee of Pentangle live at the back of the rooms. This was the highlight of the stay. The rest was average, breakfast being acceptable but not acceptable was around two turns of toilet paper in the bathroom.
The lack of toilet roll!!!

Friendly staff. Nice clean rooms.
No food available on arrival at the Hotel.
As a regular visitor sometimes with my wife, sometimes with my brother in law,,we were always offered two single beds or one double bed, that was not an option this time.

Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. Staff were all very friendly. Parking was easy and the rooms were very comfortable. It was clear that the hotel was being upgraded and that major improvements were successfully under way. The room rate was very good indeed and the hotel's location just off the M90 in Kinross was very convenient and Kinross is an attractive and historic small town. We were very pleasantly surprised by our experience - ignore outdated reviews from before the improvements under the new ownership had borne fruit - they'be been successful!

Great location, lovely building, and a great little concert venue attached.
Beds like concrete slab, pillows like pancakes hardly slept at all

"Food was good. Limited menu in evening as we were told the kitchen was being refurbished. Breakfast was good but buffet style which meant it was just lukewarm."
