It was beautiful and cultural. The location was very convenient as we had a few days layover to experience the country.

Loved every bit of it. The staff were friendly, room was spaces and clean. Pool is great, not crowded. Breakfast has many options.

Breakfast doesn’t offer fresh squeezed juice but you can ask for it.

We stayed in the Sea View King Room. The size of the room was adequate, would be nice if slightly larger especially the bathroom. King size bed was large but probably too soft for my preference. Room is clean. There are plenty of elevators and so wait time is short. Swimming pool was definiately a highlight with nice sun lounge chairs and cabanas on offer, complimentary iced water and welcome drink was served by the pool. Varied pool depths also made it easy for our toddler to enjoy the pool as well. All staff are friendly and attentive. Breakfast buffet was fine but probably a bit boring as they days went by (we stayed 4 nights).

Upon arrival, the porters helped with the luggage off our taxi but went missing after a 45 min wait. It finally arrived after several phone calls with no apology. Pre-requested baby cot and baby bath basin were also missing despite confirmation twice by e-mail. Hotel location is OK - it is not as close as we imagined, it's not directly connected to the Marina Square shopping mall, its either using a back-alley staircase tucked at the end of the mall, or using the escalators/elevators from the carpark lobby that is a short walk away from the hotel entrance. Marina Square itself is also not very interesting, we always walk to Suntec City instead (about 8-10 mins walk from hotel). Views from the room and pool were a building under construction with cranes, workers and noise - not the hotel's fault but should be considered. Service and housekeeping can sometimes be inconsistent - towels were not replaced (taken away but not replenished), sometimes more complimentary water bottles are provided on some days than others, baby eating utensils sometimes offered during breakfast and sometimes not. Perhaps staff needed more training. In general, the stay was fine but there are some areas that are disappointing and we expected more from Mandarin Oriental.
