Mecenate Palace is in a beautiful old building directly across the plaza from Basilica Maggiore of St Mary Major. We had a wonderful view of the church from our room. The buffet breakfast was great - good variety and quality and a breathtaking view from the rooftop dining area.
The property definitely needs a refresh. Our bathroom had big patches in the caulking around the tub and stained floor and tub tiles. One of the front desk staff was not very pleasant and tried to change the agreed upon terms of the transfer they arranged for our departure to the airport. Not a great last impression.

Location close to train station but not in the bad rundown (graffiti and rubbish) streets of Rome. The roof top breakfast was a lovely surprise, room was good for 3 of us, and had fridge and kettle facilities and a bath for my little one. Elevator too.
There wasn’t much to not like, the aircon unit started leaking but the staff jumped right onto it.

This property was perfect for our last night stay in Rome. The proximity to the station was great to catch the train to the airport. The roof top bar was just perfect and an excellent place to have our last drink in Italy.

Great location staff nice
Hot water went off so cold shower one morning , airconditioning was not turned on , we thought we didn’t know how to use it, that happen for 2 nights , we stayed an extra night sì was ok then
