A lovely historic building well maintained and nicely updated internally with modern shower room/WC. Good car parking off road, nice breakfast and friendly service. Location excellent for our visit short 5 minute walk to town centre facilities.
Nothing everything ticked our boxes.

we liked everything. huge ceilings, lovely bathroom in room 1 (shower screen maybe could be bigger?) stunning building. fan in room, comfortable beds. everything felt like it had been thought of. would love to stay again

Very central to the city, restaurants and theatre etc are very close by. Situated in a very quiet area of the city. Lots of greenery all around.
Not hotels fault but the room next door had to on really loud. That was my only issue but we will stay there again without doubt

Breakfast was very good.
Poor value for money. We stayed for 2 nights and had 1 small tube of shower gel to last 2 days. The alternative was to pay an extra £20 room service charge. Ridiculous penny-pinching. The hotel was short staffed, nobody on reception on our first morning, and only 1 person serving breakfast. Our car was broken into overnight and most of its contents were stolen.
