Free upgrade to larger room. Staff very friendly. Excellent breakfast: as much as you want, great choice and delicious. Very good location: rural and quiet, but only a few minutes‘ drive into the city.

Lovely, but needs touching up in places of high traffic in corridors, etc. to dispel a slightly tired look. Front driveway desperately needs resurfacing!

Lovely quiet location. Staff were super friendly and totally spoiled my dog (who loved it, of course, as well as the grounds). Breakfast was wonderful, too.

Professional and polite staff, overall the venue is delightful, a bit tired but would like to have had more time to explore the grounds. Great value as breakfast, which was gargantuan, was included. Will definitely stay there and others in the group if that is the standard.

Breakfast was chaos ! Staff not easily identified as appeared to lack obvious uniform- hot food offering was poor - at peak time - 9am queues of people waiting for the hot breakfast buffet to be completed - ie no sausage or bacon available- for a long time, the layout is poor, queue for hot food in the way of the coffee machine and then when hot food finally does arrive staff are battling passed the hungry queue . I got up to get a sausage sandwich leaving my not yet started yogurt , slice of bread (for sausage sandwich) and coffee on my table and came back to find staff had cleared my table of the food and drink and the unused cutlery meaning I had to get up again to fetch more bread and cutlery - nothing short of a fawlty towers experience!! Organisation of breakfast - the layout needs to be able to accommodate easy access for staff to note foodstuffs area getting low and also to refill in a timely manner ! Room was passable , comfortable bed, dusty around bedside table noted as I moved the table to pick up my glasses i had dropped . Bathroom badly in need of refit - serves its purpose but tired. View from room to rear of hotel consisting of a skip and broken furniture- wasn’t expecting palm trees but this really looked poor and unkempt.
