The Devereux Boutique Hotel

Bed was comfy Nice clean linen Nice and handy to loads of good restaurants, walking distance The room had everything we needed for our one night stay . Clean and tidy Plenty of parking We only paid $110 for the night and didn’t feel ripped off :)

We had to phone the lady to check in , after ringing two bells and seeing her eating in the dining area , and she had seen us . We still waited , thinking maybe that person was a guest . But nope , she wandered in in her own good time :) She was courteous and nice once she got there When I booked it said a continental breakfast was included , maybe I missed the fine print somewhere and had to let her know before the morning , but I did just assume it would be in the dining area , alas no breakfast :) Not one person to be seen to be fair .

Great location. Clean. Tidy. Big main room. It’s a beautiful building and the aesthetic is lovely.

Tiny bathroom. Major internet issues. No toaster. Leaking shower. Broken blinds; maintenance is definitely needed. The downstairs eating area is no longer in use: used for storage and the signage has been taped over. The strangest thing; if you broke a coat hangar, it would cost you $5 to replace - even though they were the coat hangers that Kmart use to stock their clothes!
