The location was fine, just one street back from the waterfront. The room was a good size, light bright and airy, with an excellent bathroom. Good value for money. Overall very good accommodation. A kitchenette was fitted with enough for basic self catering exactly as described.

The smoke alarm/ censor in the ceiling above the bed had a small light that kept flashing at regular intervals through the night. But this wouldn't be a problem for most people.

We received a very rude welcome on arrival, from the Motel Manager. We hadn’t uttered a word when we were rudely advised check in was not available. The lack of ability to check in wasn’t an issue (we were prepared for this), however he seemed to resent our attempt at an early arrival time (an hour early) - this despite the motels invitation to inquire if we were early (via a pre-arrival welcome message). We were surprised by the rudeness, which was entirely unnecessary, and made worse by his apparent lack of awareness of his demeanour - a surprise for someone in such a role… We put this attitude down to his treatment of Booking.com guests (however the reason (if any) for the rude welcome was not clear, and this may not be the case - in the end we put it down to operational stress). Whatever it was - unprofessional for a motel operator to act in this way, and it’s inexcusable - we won’t be back, nor would we recommend this motel to anyone.

Location is brilliant! Comfortable lodging and the spa bath was wonderful.

The location was very handy and the room was nice and warm and quiet, great water pressure

The shower head was loose and did not stay in the right place as it kept tipping over and pointing at the floor, power switch for spa bath was a bit hard to operate(had to give it a bang to switch it on. No milk for Tea/Coffee

Wi-fi was slow & intermittent especially in the evenings

leaked in our room over the bed and shower curtain had mould, and a lot of condensation inside around the window

Room was generally in good condition but the carpet had numerous stains on it.
