Kein 5 Sterne-Haus, aber viele kleine liebevoll arrangierte Details, z.B. im Frühstücksraum machen den Charm aus.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Es war variantenreich dargeboten. Der Preis ist eher unterdurchschnittlich für Hotels in der Preislage. Die Zimmer sind sehr kompakt, aber für eine Übernachtung vollkommen ausreichend.
Die Lüfter in den Nassräumen sind exorbitant laut und stören anliegende Zimmer, wenn jemand erst sehr spät zu Bett geht oder gerne ausschlafen möchte. Eine andere Gruppe war sehr laut und die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig.

Super Lage, tolles Frühstück-auch vegan, sehr freundliches Personal. Alles war liebevoll eingerichtet. Empfehlenswert!

the breakfast was very complete and the selección of teas was very good as well. the parking was easy to access and very convenient. but what was exceptional was the kindness and competence of the receptionist for real made the difference!

Stay, breakfast, location and everything was good.
Wind shut the door of the room when we were out and key inside room. Receptionist was kind and got another key in few mins.
Working hours receptionist would be great. As we didn't know the keys will be left in door for check in.

The room was nice. Comfy bed. Breakfast was elaborate.
I was in the room an hour and a half before checkout and someone (presumably cleaning staff) just came into the room without even knocking. Completely inexcusable. The woman ran out and apoligized but my cat got so stressed she hid under the bed, so it took me 30 minutes to get her out and into the box. When I very politely told reception that I did not appreciate that, they got aggressive with me as if I were attacking them somehow, saying they're not responsible for what the cleaning staff does and all they can do is apologize. I wasn't even asking for anything, just figured they should be informed.Then the receptionist actually followed me out the door as if I did something wrong. I only realized when I got to the next hotel that I am missing 50 euros. I cannot prove it but it seems likely someone went into my room while I wasn't there. Never felt so unsafe on a holiday in my life. Completely unacceptable, highly recommend staying away

Excellent breakfast and the personal is very kind. The building is very simple but the rooms has all you need for a good stay. Also, you can park for free on thee street nearby.

room contained a mistake and caused us a lot of stress and the phone to the hotel service broke on that day ...

Convenient location, especially for those who need to access the university. Quiet neighborhood.
Staff repeatedly barging in an already occupied room. This happened multiple times even within a day. Soundproofing is terrible; can practically hear next room conversations.

The location is very very close to the university Duisburg-Essen, so, for conferences at this university, it is very suitable.
The whole building is very old. The elevator is terribly old!
The price that I paid was 200 Euros per night! and in fact I expected more with this huge price for a 3-star hotel.

Warm welcome from the owner who did his best to talk french or english since my german is of poor quality. Really big room. Family atmosphere.
I had a 2 person bed for me alone but the duvet on the bed was really small. I had to park quite far the second evening (saturday) since the hotel is in a short dead-end street.

One time I ran out of toilet paper, maybe there could be a spare roll in the bathroom just in case?

- pillows were too soft to our liking (matter of opinion, of course: we like them firm)

Location is very good, with parking space also super convenient. We travelled with our 9 month old baby and dog, room was spacious enough for us and very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Would definitely stay again if we go to Essen again!
