Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Room on top floor up several flights of stairs and no lift.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. Cooked breakfast was great with a choice of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and bread to toast

Our bedroom was at the very top of the hotel ( attic room) up 5 flights of stairs and there is no lift so it would be very tricky if you were elderly with mobility problems especially carrying your luggage. The hotel currently has scaffolding up and repairs ongoing. The ceilings going up the stairs are damaged in several places due to damp issues. The room was small but bedding, pillows and towels were excellent quality. Shower was great as powerful and lots of hot water but the room itself smelt damp. Parking is very limited and although we had sent an email directly to the hotel to reserve a car parking space none were available when we arrived so had to pay £20 for overnight parking on the street outside the hotel. The room was warm so had to have the window open which unfortunately meant we heard a lot of traffic noise
