Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl

We chose this hotel for a birthday celebration, so our expectations were quite high. The location on top of the hill is wonderful, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of options. The staff were also very helpful and attentive.

For almost €500 for one night, we expected a more special experience. The room was smaller and simpler than we expected. The biggest disappointment was the lack of privacy on the terrace. There is a common terrace right next to the room terraces, separated only by a few small plants, so other guests could easily see us while we were sitting outside. We understand that everyone should be able to enjoy the beautiful view, but when paying such a high price for a room with a terrace, we expected more privacy and comfort. There were also no blankets for sitting outside in the cool weather. In the end, it felt like we were mainly paying for the view and breakfast rather than for a truly special hotel experience.

The stunning location of course was incredible. As well as the hotel itself. Evening meal & breakfast was excellent.

This is the third time I've stayed at this hotel. It's a fabulous and very pleasant place. The staff are very kind, and they help far beyond what's necessary. The breakfast is excellent, and the dinner menu is also great. The location is unbeatable, with the best possible view of St. Moritz, Silvaplana, lakes, etc. And from here, you can easily walk to the Segantini hut, which is another excellent experience. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location with unique characteristics.

1. No temperature control at all - underfloor heating was absurdly hot - had to sleep with the balcony door open in January!! 2. Staff not very friendly - considering the high prices, we felt the hotel is trading on its unique location and is largely indifferent to customer experience. Take it or leave it?
