Cusco Plaza Nazarenas

I had the pleasure of staying here twice during my trip to Peru, before and after seeing the magnificent Machu Picchu. For my first stay, I had a twin room. The decor was rustic yet stylish with a small section of Peruvian prints on the walls. There was plenty of space and the most jaw-dropping panoramic view of the densely populated streets of Cusco. Everything about the hotel was first-rate. The reception team were lovely. Several different people were on the desk during my stay, and all were very patient (and smiling) when I attempted to speak my paltry Spanish. One young woman in particular deserves praise, but I can't remember her name! She helped me book an additional night and helped with my pronunciation. I can't recommend this hotel more highly, and I'd definitely stay again if I return to Cusco.

The only let-down was the breakfast staff: after waiting 10 minutes, I ended up popping my head into the kitchen to get served. A word of warning when selecting rooms - on my second stay, I was placed in a double room on the ground floor next to the breakfast. It was small, cramped and only suitable 1 person. The only window faced into the breakfast area! No natural light either.

All very good, the team was very responsive. The manager at the hotel took good care of me. Thye were very sentitive to personal requests.

Convenient downtown location, charming and hospitable

The windows is on the internal aisle, so the air does not really circulate and it can be very noisy as the other guests are walking and entering in their rooms all the time.
