Amazing sea view from the front King balcony rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast. Spotlessly clean rooms. Fab central location!

Air con didnt work very well on full blast, would say rooms get unbearably hot during heatwaves!! Maybe the system needs updating...?

When I checked in, I wasn't told where the breakfast was - small point, but I felt like it was very matter of fact rather than being personal. Woke in the early hours of my first night, absolutely freezing cold. There was no blanket in the room. Other people who were at the same event I attended in the hotel also had the same complaint. The display for the room heating is very small & in the dim light of the room I could not see it. Plus, I didn't find the operating instructions until the following day as they were tucked away in the wardrobe! Even with the instructions, I still couldn't operate because the display is not clearly visible. I ate in the bar on my first night. When I ordered my food, I was asked for a table number. This was not clearly visible, so I explained I didn't know the number & indicated where I was sitting & was promptly told, "I cannot take an order without a table number!" I have mobility issues (which are plain to see) & I felt this was extremely rude & unhelpful. As I hesitated & other people at the bar looked shocked, my order was eventually taken, but not until after I had been made to feel very stupid. The staff obviously know the table numbers, so they did not really need to make a scene & embarrass me! Not really what you expect, especially from a place that is charging top prices. The tea tray in the bedroom was quite honestly ridiculous. There were a total of 2 milk portions, so basically enough for 1 drink! Felt very much like you were being rationed. The chair at the table / mirror is too low, so if you wanted to work on a laptop, for instance, it would be very uncomfortable to do so. On the check-out day, I had packed all of my things up so that I could return before midday check-out time to take them to my car as I was attending an event held in the hotel.
