A true hidden gem in authentic Crete – an unforgettable stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at Alexander Mountain Resort in Gerakari from 23 to 26 July, and it was truly one of the most pleasant surprises of our trip to Crete. From the very first moment, we felt welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff are exceptional, always smiling, kind and ready to help with any request. A special mention goes to Mrs. Evangelia, whose kindness, courtesy and availability went far beyond what one could normally expect. She has a wonderful way of making guests feel not simply welcomed, but truly cared for - we still remember the Greek dance night at the pool side! The resort itself is beautiful, spotless, well maintained and easily accessible. Our room was lovely, comfortable and impeccably clean, with everything well looked after and in excellent condition. And then there is the food! We ate extremely well, with delicious dishes and generous portions, all at prices that are, quite frankly, incredibly reasonable. The value for money is exceptional – something that is becoming increasingly rare. The resort also has a very spacious parking area, which is extremely convenient. Guests can enjoy a swimming pool, tennis court, basketball hoop and mini-golf, all in an atmosphere of absolute peace and tranquillity. But perhaps what makes Alexander Mountain Resort truly special is its location. Gerakari is a beautiful, peaceful mountain village, far from the crowds and tourist chaos of Crete’s famous coastal resorts. Staying here gives you the opportunity to discover a quieter Crete, genuine, still full of the flavours, traditions and atmosphere of the island of the past. For us, Alexander Mountain Resort is not simply a place to stay: it is a destination in itself, a little pearl hidden in the Cretan mountains. Highly recommended !

Our stay at Alexander Mountain Resort in Gerakari was simply outstanding and became one of the highlights of our holiday in Crete. The resort is beautifully located in the mountains, surrounded by nature and absolute tranquillity, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the island. The rooms are comfortable, spotless, and very well maintained, while every area of the property reflects great care and attention. The breakfast deserves a special mention: it is abundant, varied, and of excellent quality, offering something for every taste and dietary preference. Since we had several early-morning excursions planned, we asked more than once if breakfast could be served earlier than the usual time. Every single request was accommodated without hesitation, and always with exactly the same outstanding quality and generous selection. This level of flexibility and guest care is truly exceptional. We also had dinner at the resort's restaurant several times. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared with fresh local ingredients and offered at remarkably competitive prices. It is excellent value for money and a pleasure after a day spent discovering Crete. The swimming pool is beautiful, meticulously maintained, and perfect both for swimming and simply relaxing while enjoying the peaceful mountain scenery. Sports enthusiasts will also appreciate the tennis court located just above the pool. Tennis rackets and balls are provided free of charge for guests, as are the clubs and balls for the mini-golf course—another thoughtful touch that makes the stay even more enjoyable. Finally, a heartfelt thank you goes to Evangelia, the manager, who looked after the reception and every aspect of our stay in a way that went far beyond excellence. Her professionalism, warmth, attention to every detail, and genuine passion for hospitality made us feel not like customers, but like welcomed friends.

We stayed 2 nights for our 16th wedding anniversary in the hotel. It was wonderful, everything was just perfect and I was very impressed by the quality of the accommodation. I have to say it is one of the best hotels I stayed in Crete and I am very impressed by the whole concept. Wish we could have stayed longer and definitely will be back.
