Great position in Florence, quiet, clean, some staff very pleasant and helpful - in particular Giovani who made us laugh telling us which trains to catch to Lucca on a Sunday, and Cherish who was very smiley and helpful. Good breakfast. Very pleasant gardens for a large city hotel.
Expensive for deluxe room when the window was too high to look out of and only a view of random roofs - couldn't even see the garden. Room was dark and lacking in character. Some staff on reception acted as though they were doing us a favour when answering questions or getting us a kettle and fresh milk - not much to ask when you're paying over 300 euros b&b! No information in the room about anything.

Les instalacions precioses i la situació molt bona i tranquil.la, fora de la zona super turistica!! El personal molt amable i pendent de tu en tot moment.
Vam demanar esmorzar aviat (6:00h ) el dia que marxavem i ens van donar un picnic una mica precari.. el menjador obria a les 7h.
Sense café ni calents... en altres hotels et deixen preparat al menjador amb termos un esmorzar similar al que has pagat els altres dies.
Habitació correcte, pero el bany una mica massa petit. Justet.
Quan vam arribar hi havia dues ampolletes d'aigua ,pero no la van repossar en els tres dies que vam ser-hi . Una al dia no estaría malament, en aquest sentit una mica just.

George and Giovanni at front desk were exceptional and made our stay so relaxing. We drove from London and stopped over in Florence before the last leg of our journey. George made us feel so welcomed and was very helpful in guiding us through the city for that evening and the following day.
We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The breakfast team were so pleasant and friendly.
Great team and a great place to stay in the center of Florence.
Definitely coming back in Summer.

Albergo situato nella zona "oltrarno", una delle più belle, cool ed ispirate di Firenze. Horto Convento è un 4 stelle che mantiene tutte le promesse, e premesse: struttura nuova, curata nei minimi particolari con uno staff gentile ed estremamente professionale. Le camere sono ben arredate, non particolarmente spaziose ma molto pulite e ben fornite.. Ritornerò volentieri

This is second time we have stayed here and it is a lovely friendly hotel but the best thing about it is the position in San Frediano area of Florence. So easy to walk the City
The showers are a bit small but not too much of a problem !

This hotel exceed my expectations and was definitely worth the money! The building is from the 12th century and has been tastefully restored and turned into a beautiful hotel. We were on the top floor which had a beautiful view of the gardens. The room was very spacious and modern decor. The ceiling was exposed brick which added to the character. The buffet breakfast was delicious and had a large selection. The staff would great and offered coffee straight away (which is alway needed first thing in the morning). The staff at reception always greeted us and were very helpful. Keep in mind that this hotel is about a 10min walk for the city but I actually prefer being away centre and found the walk enjoyable. 100% recommend and would happily return!

The location is the other side of Florence ( Closer to Piazza Michaelangelo side ) and it’s generally quieter during the days since I felt people live around here. The staff is kind and the rooms were great.

The hotel is in a nice location. In the vicinity of the hotel there are numerous restaurants offering tasty food.
For a four-star hotel, breakfast should be more varied. Hard buns! Unthinkable. Very small bathroom. There are no pan-European news channels in the television program offer.

Everything, second time staying at this hotel, on this occasion it was a little more pricey than last however it was the mid size room and the staff, room and location are excellent.
All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable.
Special thanks to Allesio the bartender who was a gentleman and really made our stay just a bit more special

On the less touristy side of Florence and you get to see more of the local going’s on, on leaving the hotel. Near great restaurants and bars

the hotel had a very nice breakfast buffet, and was super quiet at night. Good a/c in the rooms which was important during the heatwave! Staff is nice as well.

Breakfast was very nice, a small bar but made an excellent cocktail. Comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff. Close a a few restaurants, overall very good. Would stay here again no problem.

The property is located just across the Arno river and is walking distance from the SM Novella Train station. All the tourist hotspots that you can think of in Firenze are walking distance from the property.
The property itself is beautiful and surrounded by green. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms are practically designed.
The staff, as one would expect in Italy, is extremely polite and helpful.
The breakfast is the icing on the cake. I stayed at 4 different hotels across Italy during my visit and Horti Convento served the best breakfast. The outdoor seating space is a bonus.
If you’re slightly late for breakfast, there are some items that will not be replenished which seemed odd to me.

Fantastic location. Fantastic friendly and helpful staff. Good neighbourhood restaurants without the crowds across the river. Close enough to walk to everything including the rail station for day trips.
Heating/ hot water could have been a tad warmer but it was very cold weather.

The location is amazing, very quiet area, but has a lot of bars and restaurants just a few minutes walk away. Breakfast had a good selection and staff were super friendly.
The internal walls/doors are not sound proof, could clearly hear people walking and talking at night, which was loud. We were lucky that this happened only on one of the nights. But you can’t pick your neighbors, so something to keep in mind.

We loved everything about this hotel, its architecture was marvelous and it was very calm away from the rush of the city. Giovanni at the reception was very helpful, he told us what places to see and we followed his advice😊 Breakfast was very good, we loved the fruit salad in the glas bowl and croissants 😊
We were only a bit suprised that the cleaning of the rooms was so early. Once when we came from our breakfast they were already cleaning our room and we had to wait about 20 minutes, but were rushing to the city, so it was a bit inconvenient.

Wow!! It is truly rare that a hotel FAR exceeds one's expectations, but HORTO CONVENTO does just that. Prepare yourself to be spoiled and pampered. It is a fantasy destination on its own ....being in the center of Florence is "a bonus ".

The hotel is wonder, as are the staff- shout out to Giovanni and Cherish, who were incredibly kind and helpful! The food was delicious, the room was beautifully decorated and really clean. Great location, just one or two streets back from the river.
My partner and I actually got engaged in the garden of the hotel on New Year's Eve! Thanks to the staff for making it a memorable stay!
