My window broke in my room and took a full day and a half to fix so didn't rate that, but their were shutters so was still able to secure the room

Location, location, location! If you’re coming to Venice for a short stay, this spot is perfect. You’re basically in a 10-minute radius of everything you’ll want to see, which makes exploring incredibly easy. Watching people line up for ferries and gondolas just to get around Venice looked exhausting, it’s busy season. We didn’t have to do any of that. Everything we wanted to see was walkable from this spot (we only needed the ferry to get here and leave.) For a short stay, that alone made the location worth it. The room itself is ground-floor level, so you’re not getting the dreamy “Venice room overlooking the canal” experience. If you have the $$$ to spend and want the full romantic Venice experience, I’d definitely splurge on a room with a water view. Otherwise, this place is excellent value for what you actually need. It’s also SO cute. The design has beautiful mosaic details, and our bathroom had these circular-shaped sinks that felt very OG Venice, Very traditional Venetian-house vibes. It had so much character, and everything was super clean and well kept. They also let us check-in early and kept our bags, which is huge for Venice! Venice itself was incredible - surprisingly the local shops have good deals to be found and quality leather to buy (Pro tip: If you’re hitting Venice before Florence, DO NOT wait until Florence to buy leather! Shop the little leather stores in Venice. We waited thinking Florence would have better options and regretted it. Venice had some of the cutest pieces we saw and cheaper prices) - but you really don’t need to overcomplicate your itinerary. There isn’t a lot of distance to cover. San Marco, the Rialto Bridge, beautiful little piazzas, canals and alleyways, the magic is mostly in wandering around in the little alleys, and everything is really close. The room had everything we needed, everything worked, it was clean, and the host was super responsive and helpful.

NOTHING to really complain about. Keep in mind the fact that Venice works at all feels like a miracle, it’s ancient, surrounded by water, and everything has to function within that reality. A couple of things to note: the AC is a little loud, and we had basically no cell service inside the room. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly though, so it wasn’t an issue for us.
