Booking via Staybeyond.com not the owner or Booking.com, they took a £300 damage deposit which has STILL NOT BEEN RETURNED weeks later I have had to chase them to return the deposit-there were no issues with our one night stay, but the staybeyond team haven't returned the deposit. I had to call and chase and they said their finance team would process immediately, due to this I would not book any property through them again. I would much rather deal with Booking,com or another, reputable agent. Shame because the property is excellent, newly refurbished and in a fantastic location, its a top quality rental and clearly well maintained and looked after by the owner.

the property was secluded and quiet with a lovely front view of christs piece. the furnishings were of exceptionally high standard and the property was immaculate with everything working. the attention to detail was great with a full compliment of cutlery, wonderful power shower and comfortable bed. the welcome bottle of wine was of a really good standard and immensely drinkable. the washing machine had tablets available to use and the location was great for town and school.

although the property is advertised with parking and a parking permit was made available throughout the stay there were no spaces on the road during any time of day and so was unusable. Alrernative paid parking had to be sought creating extra expense and hassle.

Beautiful house with plenty of space and in a great location. Appliances were all in good working order, and the underfloor heating in common areas was a really nice feature!

A clean and cute house. good location, very friendly owner. the bed is soft yet firm, haha, one of the best bed we tried besides the stars hotels.

1. it’s not the owner’s fault, but Google map did show the wrong location, which caused a small problem. 2. couldn’t locate hair dryer, maybe I didn’t search throughly. 3. the ambience light couldn’t be turned off in one of the bedrooms, so my kid needed to wear eyeshade for the whole night.

Property was really lovely, beds very comfortable, cleanliness throughout was very good, kitchen was very well equipped.the property has loads of character and great location for shops, restaurants and river.

Parking was a bit of a pain as we were not sure where the Brunswick areas of parking were until we saw a traffic warden to ask. He explained the parking signs on the roads have to say Brunswick and that is where you can then park.We also had two cars and the permit was only for one, however, NIck , the owners son was very helpful and even met us one evening to provide assistance. This really is a charming property though and once you familiarise yourself re the parking and surrounding area it really is fine. We parked outside, dropped off the luggage and then found a parking space.

The accommodation was superb - finished to a really high standard, very comfortable with plenty of facilities for guests. The location overlooking the common was also lovely. Our favourite holiday let.

The managing company arrangements were very onerous. I had to chase them for check-in details, despite filling out a supplementary form at booking and being told we'd get arrival details 48 hours before. When I chased them, we then had to send proof of ID, alongside selfies and pay a £300 refundable damage deposit. A stressful experience so close to departure, and I had to chase for the damage deposit to be returned. The managing company responded promptly and helpfully to any enquiries, but the bureaucracy for such a short stay was excessive. Would give me pause to stay again at an otherwise lovely property.

No bedding for sofa bed. Dishwasher would not work. Door handles fell off. Alexa could not turn lights on.

Stunning location , beautiful house

Booking.com sent many emails the day before our stay asking for information about who was staying etc along with pictures of driving licences & us holding the id’s & wanting money for a damage deposit, yet they didn’t send me a key code, have bedding out ready for the 5th guest & nor was there a parking permit. It seemed very one sided. Then without a permit, we spent over an hr trying to find parking , which was not easy in Cambridge & ate into our holiday. It is very disappointing being greeted with all those issues after we had spent time before requesting these things. The house itself was amazing & after sorting out the issues ourselves, we did have an extremely nice stay & would definitely recommend this beautiful house.

Location was excellent, just a short walk into town either through the park or along the river. The house was lovely, clean and comfortable and super stylish. Well equipped kitchen, toiletries and fresh towels provided, and a nice welcome extra box of chocolates were a favourite with the children. A great place to stay with kids and would definitely go again.

As we booked last minute there wasn't enough time to get the parking organised. So we only had two days instead of three.

Beautiful property, tastefully decorated. We were really surprised how large the place was- we were expecting an apartment but actually it was the whole house. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything we could need. The courtyard was lovely to sit out in during the evening. However the views and location were utterly outstanding- wonderful views across the common which is literally in the doorstep. Overall and incredible stay and we would definitely return. Value for money was superb.

The only issue was that the property was let and managed by StayBeyond rather than Booking.com. StayBeyond required a very high level of ID verification which added quite a lot of admin to the booking process. Other than this the stay was fantastic.

Property itself is wonderful with a great outlook over the common. Fantastic location for Cambridge and having the parking onsite makes the trip easy. We had a great time and loved the accommodation, we'd definitely recommend it!

Wonderful location overlooking the common but within 2 minutes walk of local shops and 15 minutes to historic city centre. Beautiful cottage, full of character, with everything you could need. We used as a base to explore the city, university colleges and riverside by foot. The host was very friendly and looked after us during our stay. We would highly recommend.

Whilst the cottage itself was absolutely perfect, my only negative was the two week wait for the return of our £300 security deposit (returned in full as we left the cottage in clean and undamaged condition, of course). To be fair, this timing is stated in the booking conditions, but seems a little slow to me, when a property inspection is carried out on the day of departure. This is down to the sub-letting agents, and not the owner, of course.
