Rosegarden Essence Sintra AL - by Unlock Hotels

The staff - Martha, Alex and Katia - were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They found attractions for me, helped me to find transportation (the exeptionally reliable, efficient and friendly «Find Sintra» company where everyone speaks English) and answered all sorts of questions. The pool was tiny, but nice The breakfast was excellent. My room had three medium sized windows pluss a small one, it felt warm and friendly. The view from there was beautiful. It was possible to switch on and off the air conditioning. I really like the decor of the hotel, in more or less English cottage style.

The area where the hotel is located is a little further away from the historic town centre than I had expected, and felt a little deserted. Probably not dangerous at all, just a little dark at night when you are not used to it. It is possible to walk up and down to old town Sintra, but it is steep and very uncomfortable. The pavements are tiny, they do not feel safe. There are buses, but they often do not stop when you raise your hand, and they are very expensive for Portugal (would even have been very expensive even in Scandinavia). it is much better to use private transport, taxis or - as I did - the Find Sintra transport company, the also offer transport to and from the airport.

Gorgeous property, great for a short getaway - clean, comfortable and stylish. High levels of security. Team were lovely and breakfast was amazing.

My only feedback is there was no instructions to check out, which was the same with another guest. And check in we had to phone several times to get in to the property. So could be an issue for someone who could not use their phone abroad.

Beautifully decorated, especially for Sintra. Breakfast great and Cartia (one of the staff) made our stay happy and fab

there was no drug for tea or coffee in the room Noah was there a bar fridge

People were nice to us.

The room wasn’t as seen in booking, but eventually moved up to a better. Very remote up a steep hill. You certainly needed a car. Had to use Ubers.
