Nice and reasonably priced hotel

First time staying here. Managed to score early check in at about 1pm, maybe because we booked on a Wednesday so not many people. Staff were friendly and courteous and check in was done quickly. Room was clean and spacious enough for 2 girls. Tv channels were abit boring but we could screen share so we just watched from our phone. Toilet was big and clean. Basic amenities were provided. Had a good sleep except the second night as there were constructions going on outside the whole day (the new train line to sg). Light sleepers do take note. Better to bring ear plugs as we woke in the middle of the night a few times.

Nothing! Will stay here again.

Almost perfection!

Staffs are very friendly n attentived. Love the room n view. Syam at the check in counter fill me up with lots of infor about the hotel n benefits.

At the standing mirror, the lighting is very dim, very hard to apply make up. Can't do it in the toilet is because the mirror is too far from the basin area. If swimming pool can be open at 6 am or 6.30am will be perfect. Breakfast can be improved.

Disappointed.

The only thing I like was the location is very convenient.

Breakfast was bad, taste & quality is not to my expectation. They took so long to replenish drinks and have to q for prata almost half an hr, ended up we didn't wait. The sausages are not hot & so hard. Food tasted bland, not a Holiday Inn standard. The spread are so so. By now they should know their standard occupancy over the weekend, food & drink must be replenished fast once running low. They have so many ground staffs, should be attentive and allocate individual staff to their appointed station. The room that we stayed in no plastic in the bin, no doormat to be place outside of the washroom door. There are small flies in the room & washroom which are not supposed to be(meaning is not clean thoroughly). The fridge is not cold. (didn't bring it up as I only stayed for 1 night), hope there are improvement over time.

😄Wonderful stay overall😄

Prompt registration, no delay. Cleanliness 👍🏻👍🏻, hoping that it be maintained. Helpful and cheerful staff.

There should be more TV channels. I hope that TV sharing via personal devices is allowed. There are stains on the bathroom marble and the carpet that should be looked into.

Perfect location for a fun city.

The location was perfect. The breakfast and staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was tasty. We enjoyed our stay.

Very close to JB CIQ so it is easy to go to SG. Breakfast served is nice, many options of food. Receptionist is friendly as well. Hotel is connected to Komtar & City square as well so it is easy to get things

Entry from the shopping centre or car park is not well signposted so ended up going the long way around on more than one occasion.

Enjoyable and relaxing getaway

Excellent location, right next to CIQ. Breakfast spread is more than enough for us. We are happy, we will be back again.

Pleasant stay

Proximity to city square mall.

There are stains on the bed. The housekeeping clean up too fast. I checked out and 1 hr later wanted to go back to get the water bottle that I left and its already gone.

The breakfast is limited. The curry chicken was overwhelmed wth too many spices that we no longer taste chicken curry. Food choices should improve.

Enjoyed our stay here because of the clean room, location and great staff, but pity about the lack of soundproofing.

Excellent location, staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is nice and clean. Firm & soft pillows provided.

No soundproofing in the rooms so we could hear the next door room’s TV, conversations, laughter etc. Mattress is a bit hard.

Overall we a happy staying here.

Very comfortable place to stay with family. I have add for birthday package. Really worth because can check out untill 3pm with the decoration in room. But a little bit dissapointed because in the package it state 500g cake. So i assume it was a small whole cake that suitable for my lovely son. But then, only got a slice of cake 😅 supposed to be state on the package. A slice of cake. So i can buy other cake for my lovely son.

Disappointed

Everything is so so

Same request made multiple times but still not met by the hotel. Even after approached and called reception several times. They say they will do it but nothing done till check out. Very disappointed

Room fell short of expectation, Front Office staff were excellent.

Good central location. Helpful and friendly Front Office staff.

Housekeeping and room cleanliness fell below standards. 1st day of check-in, hand soap and shower gel had depleted without being replenished. The real shocker came the first night when going to sleep - there was a horrible stench coming from one of the beds. 1 of 2 pillows stank - it was a sour, sweaty, BO-like stench. The 2nd pillow stacked on top of it was stained, leading one to suspect whether the bedding had been changed from the previous occupants. They did provide fresh pillows upon request, although it was too late to request for bedding change as my family had gone to sleep. 2nd day of stay - housekeeping did not make up room from the time we went out from 9am till we returned at 6pm. However they did respond when we rang to ask for fresh towels.

Location was good.

I had expected more from this hotel but i was disappointed the moment i entered the hotel. Front desk staff was not helpful nor friendly and it took quite a while to get checked in. The room was small. The moment you entered the room, it smelled so stale, bed had this one strange smell which is displeasing to the nose. The pillows smelled like the pillowcase wasnt even changed. Sprayed perfume but the smell was still overpowering. Carpet was dirty too. Toilet was dirty! Could see alot of dirt markings and algae in the toilet! Plastic wasnt even provided for the bin. Overall, this has been my worst stay in JB. I would not recommend. Not worth the money.
