We had a great stay at the Haven on Hazel. The house was well-stocked with paper goods, laundry detergent, soaps, dishes, sand toys, etc. Great location - walkable to the beach, the park, the splashpad, and downtown. The playground in the backyard was perfect for our kiddos.

Clean and tidy house with nice outside sitting area to enjoy morning coffee, after dinner drinks or just conversation. We found many nice and thoughtful additional items to make our stay comfortable. Also an easy walk to South Beach area. Really enjoyed our time there.

We had an excellent time on our visit to South Haven. Well located to town, within walking distance of So. Beach. The cottage was comfortable, well supplied kitchen, plenty of towels; perfect size for a small family or in our case four adult women. The most negative thing-was that the tub was high to get in and out for the less agile in the group. But we felt the area was safe, quiet and private. We had a wonderful visit and would come out again. Thank you!

We had a very favorable experience

The Haven was the perfect retreat for my wife and I while visiting family in South Haven. The only issues we had was a blown circuit when using the dryer and there was hair in the shower from a previous guest. Outside of those two issues everything was perfect. Thank you.

Enjoyed our stay here! House was clean, comfortable, and close to the beach and town. Enjoyed sitting on the patio, and there was even a swing set which our kids enjoyed. Would recommend!

We had a fantastic time! We spent a long weekend in South Haven and felt completely taken care of throughout our stay. I had a super easy time getting ahold of Larry & JoeAnn and they were nothing but helpful!

Everything as shown. Nice to walk to beach and downtown So Haven. Amazed at the safe feeling, variety of transportation, dining. House is in great location and design for everything. Owner very responsive.

We were in town for a wedding so we didn't spend too much time at the house. The code for the front door didn't work well. We were questioned about some damage that had occurred before we arrived. But all in all it was adequate.

Perfect for a family beach vacation.

The property is located in a very quiet, family-oriented neighborhood walking distance to the beach. JoeAnn and Larry are awesome hosts who are very responsive and helpful. They pay close attention to details, and literally everything was provided for our stay. We felt so comfortable! They included lots of beach toys, 2 wagons, a cart, and 4 bikes as well as a nice-sized rolling cooler for the beach. Our 5-year- old enjoyed the play set in the back yard, and we all had a rousing whiffle ball game in the yard. The house is small but very nicely updated and well-maintained. Take a short bike ride or longer walk to the heart of South Haven for restaurants and shops.

The home provided a great base for our summer vacation. We appreciated all of the extra towels, blankets, and paper products. We had a nice fire in the fire pit our last evening and grilled out and ate outside another evening. We made good use of the bicycles and beach materials! Overall a great experience! The neighborhood is very nice and quiet but close to the bike trail, park, beach, and just a few minutes drive from downtown.

Great location and house for a family trip. Easy access to south beach and downtown South Haven. House had everything we needed and we really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and being able to grill every night in the nice backyard. Comfortable beds, and owners were extremely friendly and communicative about check-in and making sure the amenities were great. Would definitely recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house, it had everything we needed (and more!) for my husband and I and our two girls ages 5 and 2. The swing set was a great surprise and kept the girls busy while we were at the house. The location is excellent, though it was close enough to walk to South Beach and Kids Corner we did end up driving just because we had so much stuff. We spent lots of time at the beach and it couldn’t have been more convenient. The fire pit was another added bonus as my oldest really enjoyed roasting marshmallows one night. I especially appreciated the little extras that were at the house - plenty of garbage bags, baggies, washer detergent, etc. I have stayed at many places that only provide one days worth of these essentials. The beach chairs and high chair they left us were also much appreciated. The owners were amazing to work with, you can tell they really want their guests to be comfortable and enjoy themselves, which we certainly did. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was very nice and the access to extra items in the garage (bikes, beach toys, wagons, ect.) was appreciated. The house was perfect for our Friends Getaway. It’s located in a nice quiet neighborhood close to downtown. It was very clean and had everything that we needed. The bunk beds in the smallest bedroom provided us “mature” ladies plenty of laughs!

We highly recommend this property. From the beginning of the booking process the owners were very responsive and answered all of our questions. The home was super clean and had all of the essentials and even extras for any family. The wagons were super helpful for walks to and from the beach. The home is a 10-15 min walk to the blue stairs beach entrance and about a 20-25 minutes walk to town. The neighborhood was very quiet and the outdoor space was nice to have. The only thing missing was more comfortable outdoor patio furniture with an umbrella and a bigger table that was not in the grass. There were lots of mosquitos which is expected but it would be nice to have more concrete space outdoors and not so close to the grassy area. I also wish it was closer to town because we love walking and I can walk 25 mins but it’s more difficult with small children. We were lucky with parking but I imagine busier times of the year it can be more difficult. Overall I highly recommend this property and the owners were wonderful to communicate with and truly care about their guests experience.

Great little home near the beach. It had everything we needed and nice surprise to have a swing in the backyard for our young son. We grilled a couple nights. Hosts were very helpful before and during our visit. Thank you.

Awesome location 1 mile from the beach. Home was perfect for 2 adults and 4 kids in a safe area. We loved the play set in the backyard, bunk beds in the kids room, and all the fun beach toys, chairs and umbrella in the garage.

This house was just perfect for our vacation in every way. Conveniently located a short walkable distance from South Beach, yet removed from the traffic and hubbub of the busyness of downtown South Haven. Clean and comfy, it was easy to find everything we needed, plus JoeAnn was always friendly and quick to respond to any questions about the rental or the town. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The neighborhood was silent at night for sleeping. The backyard offered a quiet refuge for drinking coffee in the morning and watching lightning bugs at night. We definitely plan to stay here again.
