I love the layout of this cottage. With 1 bedroom upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs there is enough separation for privacy. The beds are super comfortable which has not always been the case in our past rentals. You can see that the place was well thought out, with the very comfortable seating area outside of the lower level where you can bbq and relax, then there’s also the firepit area closer to the beach access.
I have been dealing with Jennifer for a few years and she is extremely professional and eager to make your stay a wonderful experience! Great property, great customer service, all in all a super stay at hideaway!

Hideaway is the perfect destination to disconnect from the outside world. Being surrounded by a forest of trees brings a stillness to the air that we had never experienced before. The cottage is beautiful inside and out! The smell of the cedar sauna greets you as you walk down the path towards the front door. The beach is quiet and private. Once on the main level, you feel like you are nestled in the trees with panoramic views of the lake beyond. Bayfield and Grand Bend are just a few minutes up the road. However, it is truly difficult to leave the tranquillity of this location. Our family hopes to be back again next year.

From the very helpful app we received before our arrival to the welcoming music and Christmas tree upon our arrival, we knew we would enjoy our stay. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable with a beautiful Lake Huron sunset view. The property is also nicely landscaped and provides access to a great beach. Jennifer is a thoughtful and very helpful host and was always quickly available to answer any questions we had. We definitely are planning on a return visit!

Jennifer, what an awesome relaxing cottage you have. We stayed here for 8 days and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The minute we walked in we felt the serenity. The owner Jennifer is absolutely amazing - she is quick to responded and pleasant to deal with. This cottage is located right on the water, with beach access directly from the property. The cottage is nestled back off the road creating a ton of privacy. You have everything you need in this cottage to enjoy your stay. There are many walking / hiking trails in the area that you can enjoy as well as a few good breweries and you also have the option of having bonfires nightly. If you're looking for some quite relaxing times, this is the place for you. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.

We have just returned from a terrific getaway at Jennifers cottage. Jennifer was great and easy to communicate with from the time of booking to checking out. This beautiful cottage was very clean and had everything that we would’ve needed. The views were spectacular overlooking Lake Huron. The property was very private and very quiet. This is a stunning cottage, full of thoughtful touches, stylish without being pretentious, comfortable, quiet, private and family friendly. All modern conveniences, well stocked and ready to enjoy your time at the lake. Lovely beach, sandy bottom to the lake, private. Fire pit, raised balcony off living area, two baths, outdoor hot shower, comfortable outdoor chairs , nicely landscaped, shady all around property, quiet lane to walk on. Wifi, tv, games, this place has it all!

Paradise, again!

Perfect weekend getaway
My husband and I stayed here for two nights with our two dogs as a small baby moon and it was everything we were looking for. Very relaxing vibes, very clean and great location. Would definitely come back

A great winter destination. The cottage had everything we needed for a delightful stay. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with high quality dishes and cookware. The gas fireplace was delightful. I would highly recommend this rental.

Relaxing & Peaceful holiday!
A beautiful, clean and well equipped cottage!
The rooms are well appointed and beds are comfortable. The living room and kitchen is spacious, just as shown in the photos. Loved the Gas Stove! The supply of crockery, cutlery, bowls, pots pans are sufficient. The 2 bathrooms are quite spacious, with private toilet room and there is also a covered outdoor shower.
The BBQ was brand new. The lake views are absolutely gorgeous. The cottage is so private, there are no other homes to be seen on either side. Its a perfect place for rest and relaxation. Wish there could be stairs built to provide access to the lake, that would make the experience really complete.
Jennifer and Lea were wonderful - they took such great care of us, and ensured all our questions were answered. They very promptly responded to couple of service calls and fixed things right away.
I will definitely return!

The Hideaway was so private and tranquil, the beach/water was beyond beautiful! Overall fantastic!
It was the perfect family vacation! The Hideaway is tucked privately away in the trees, overlooking beautiful Lake Huron. Everyday was a different experience with the ever changing water and waves, but was balanced with relaxation and activity. The deck was perfect for morning coffee and yoga, and to watch sunsets at night - the beach was so private and breathtaking - my boys felt like they were at the ocean! Given there is no stair access on the property to the beach, if you want to go down to the beach from the property you do have to have good mobility - otherwise there is a public access to the north of the cottage - either way the trek to the beach is highly recommended!!!! Jennifer was a pleasure to communicate with and left welcoming treats for the whole family including Finn!

Modern and Comfortable Cottage
Arrived and found the cottage clean and ready to go. Beautiful floors and comfortable couches. TV has all the apps you need like Netflix, Prime Video and the major news networks. Internet was solid and responsive. Could not find oven mitts and a milk bag container but Jennifer from Cottage Stays got these items to us the next day!
The shower downstairs was tiled and huge as was the upstairs shower. Fans on the main floor and in the master bedroom with entrance to the balcony outside. This cottage has no gas barbecue despite being on natural gas. No washer or dryer so hanging the wet clothes on the balcony was in order to air dry. Access to the beach is a few cottages down and has many steps down to the beach, quite a climb back up, but the beach and the water was terrific, bring water shoes. Residents when you see them are friendly. Had a great time overall. Lovely, modern open space.

It was very private. There is no one nearby. The walk down to the beach is not on the property but you can reach the beach in front of the property through a public path. You have to climb over a few obstacles though so you need to have good mobility.
The cottage was spotless and it was so nice to receive fresh flowers and a little box of cookies...so welcoming.
The property and especially the view is unbelievably beautiful. There are so many windows and a nice balcony for coffee in the morning and views of Lake Huron. Lake Huron is very beautiful and wild. Every day the waves and sky provided a new experience.
The town of Bayfield was close by. We went there for dinner and a few lunches and walked around. We loved the great food and walked there for a few hours.
This was the perfect get together with my partner and I and my sister. After a long year of isolation (we are all vaccinated now) it was truly the best therapy we could have hoped for.

Wonderfully Peaceful
This was a nice quiet property with a stunning view. We had a wonderful stay of just pure family time. A great break from the crazy year we all just had. Will come back in the summer for sure - nice sandy beach area, kids had a blast!

It’s all about the view

Great Experience
Our family spent two nights at the Hideaway. We didn't go the best time of year but that didn't stop us from enjoying the Hideaway. Cottage was super clean with awesome views of Lake Huron. A nice open space upstairs that seats many with kitchen and dining room all in one huge room.The kitchen is also very well equipped. The cottage also has a very nice decks to enjoy the view. With Bayfield a short drive away there is lots to see and do in the area.It's really hard to find anything not to like.
Lastly Jennifer was wonderful to work with.

Blissful Hideaway
Very peaceful location surrounded by trees with a beautiful view of Lake Huron. We were lulled to sleep by the sound of the water. Spacious cottage with lots of wonderful features. My family enjoyed a memorable week at the cottage and in the Bluewater community.
