Excellent location and perfect for an overnight stay before my flight. Conveniently close to the Milan Dateo station and metro to Milan Linate airport. Very friendly reception, with clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast selection, delivered to my room! Highly recommended.

Hotels in Milan are very expensive; I chose L'Ottava as it was a bit easier on my pocket. It is about a 20 minute walk from the Duomo (city centre) or very quick by Metro. It is in a quiet, clean and prosperous neighbourhood which felt very safe. Note that this is definitely a guesthouse with just a small reception desk and no lobby or typical hotel facilities - except breakfast which is charmingly brought to your room and you can choose from a wide range of food options. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. The air conditioning was super-efficient. The staff were very friendly and kind.

There was almost no natural light in my room, however this was due to scaffolding in the courtyard which my window looked out onto, so I assume this is only temporary.

I am so happy I booked this room! It was very clean, great breakfast (they ask what you want and deliver into the room!). We didn`t realize but there was a market that morning on the street and made our visit more interesting. The hotel is located 15 min away from Linate airport by metro and 5-10 min metro ride to the center. Very convenient! We were very thankful that the room was ready early and then they stored our bags the next morning, so we could explore. I would definitely stay there again!

We like the size of the room. It was clean. We were very lucky the manager replied to our call at 10 pm on Saturday evening when we relialised our key is not working. On the day of arrival we were sent messages via WhatsApp to check our arrival time, then a warning that the receptionist is available only until 5pm.

The reception was not available 24 hours therefore we had to check in before 5pm, not ideal if you have other plans. In our case we were exploring nearby town. It would have been much better if some coffee capsules were left for us on arrival as well on the day we missed the breakfast due to early excursion if not the some other items like fruit etc. We didn't like that our room was accessible only through the kitchen. The only morning we could have slept we were woken up by the noise from the kitchen. One evening at 10 pm we arrived our key wasn't working, there was no 24 hours reception. It was so stressful. But the Manager guided us how to sort it out via video call and we managed to sort it out. We could have done without this stressful situation. We ordered the taxi through the reception, the taxi driver has charged us 15 euros for the reservation only plus fee of the trip. I wish I was explained these rules by the receptionist at the time of booking. The breakfast we have ordered had some items missing but it was later rectified.
