Archon Seaside Retreat

What a brilliant stay! The villas are beautifully and cleverly designed. We loved the lovely view of the tidy garden and pool – and watching the sunset over the Mediterranean was a real treat. Even before we arrived, Christos sorted our transfers and answered our questions straight away. We felt right at home on arrival, and after a quick tour we were ready for our first dip. Plaka Beach is just a few hundred metres away, with neat beach cabins and a handy food truck nearby – no need to wander far. After checking out the local restaurants and enjoying a nightcap on the lovely veranda, we settled into the most comfortable beds and appreciated the peace and quiet. Christos prepared a perfect island breakfast with yoghurt, fruit and tasty local pastries. The kitchen was great for making an early coffee or a light lunch. The villa was cleaned every day, with fresh towels ready and waiting when we returned from the beach. Our stay at Archon was a highlight of our holiday, and we can’t wait to come back.

Occasionally the island breeze makes the beach a bit blustery, so the Villa pool was a lovely alternative – though it was still a touch chilly for a proper dip. Perhaps future upgrades could include a sustainable solar heating system to warm the water by a few degrees.

Outdoor pool area is beautiful especially for sunset

Archon is the place to be in Naxos. Absolute oasis of peace and tranquility at just 2’ walk from the beautiful Plaka beach. Christos and Eleni make sure everything is perfect for the guests and they are the best hosts. The property has been built to an amazing high standard, it is clean and very well kept, both the building and the grounds, which have beautifully appointed Mediterranean plants. We loved the room we had, the excellent breakfast served in our patio, the marvellous sunsets you can see from the comfort of your room… The property provides you with beach towels, a good plus, and it has a good parking if you have q car (recommended). Christos and Eleni can also suggest some good places to eat, we followed the recommendations and it proved great! We will be back here next time we are in Naxos. Thank you!
