The place overall exceeded our expectations. Location is great, plenty of parking, the complex had just about anything we could possibly need. And communication between host was great if you needed assistance it was there ready to help. Everything was detail very easily to understand ahead of time to minimize loss of time at property and got to enjoy more of our vacation. Really happy and will visit soon no doubt.

I can't even explain what a great place this is to stay for a vacation. I've stayed in several VRBO's and this one truely is like home.
The list of amenities doesn't include all the little things that are available. All the little things you miss when you're on vacation but don't want to buy when you only need 1-- foil, baggies, to go cups!
Forget to pack something? No problem, Kim has stocked up on mini's or samples or just has extras sitting around waiting for you to realize you forgot to pack it.
The honor system snack cabinet- what a great idea!!
Ok-on to the actual home (its not a house, it's truely a home) the layout is perfect for families or friends vacationing together. Everyone has space they need to feel comfortable. The bunk room is great, Kim has games galore for the kiddos.
The back patio is a great space, just remember the house is in the city so the neighbors are Close! So it might feel a bit awkward, but just smile and wave, folks will wave back and move on with their day.
The house is in a great location, close/ easy access to highways to get out of town, and major roads to get into the touristy spots.
The airport is close, so the planes are overhead but there are no overnight landings or take-offs
Kim, the host, is wonderful! The list she provides of suggestions of things to do/go/see/eat is awesome. She's very responsive to all inquiries or concerns.

The home was in a great location to visit our son and his family. The space had everything we needed and more. Helpful notes, labels and well supplied home. Great communication with the host.

Our group of 5 women had a fantastic visit. Kim's house is set up as thoroughly as one could dream of. She leaves nothing out. Check-in went very smoothly as did check out. Beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen and baths well stocked. And those massaging bean bag chairs....the best!! Looking forward to booking again for next years Bike the Bay ride.

I promised myself I would not write a long, verbose review as I usually do, so here it goes:
What a fantastic SD home, Kim has a place for everything (and I mean everything...toothbrush to dental floss!!!) and everything in it's place!
Perfectly convenient to most major SD attractions. The home (not a property or rental, way too impersonal for this place!!) is exactly as advertised. Not huge but it will fit a family of 7 or maybe more. Our 3 Grandson's were so happy with their private lair they did not want to leave and of course other Grandparents reading this will know this is the secret to a great vacation with their grandchildren. Thank you Kim for your hospitality!

I can’t say enough wonderful words about this property or Kim! The home is spotless and centrally located to Old Town, Downtown Gaslamp District, Ocean Beach, Sunset Cliffs! You really don’t need to bring anything but your clothes ? Kim provides everything you could possibly need. From going to A Padre Game and Old Town and just going to see our old stomping grounds for 20 years, it was nice to come back and rest and rewind. Our last evening we were worn out and we ended up ordering pizza and playing games which happen to be there to play!
We highly recommend this property and are already thinking about when we can come again!

This house was great. Everything that you would ever need for a beach vacation is there. Everything is labeled and all the small details are remembered. We never needed anything. There were even toothpicks in the kitchen! Our family of 7 fit perfect. Our teenage son did use the pull out sofa but it wasn’t because of space. He just wanted to be away from the girls. He said the bed was very comfortable. Kim, our host did a very nice check-in when we arrived. She checked in a couple of times which was perfect. Not overbearing at all. The perfect amount of attention. One of the favorite things at the house was the cabinet full of goodies. Almost like a “mini bar” at a hotel. It was full of great goodies and at reasonable prices. We just kept track of what we used and sent the host money via Venmo at the end of our trip. The kids loved it. Beds were all very comfortable and although the space is on the smaller side, it really didn’t seem that way. Check out was a breeze as the host has a checkout list so you know exactly what to do. A perfect vacation. If we plan another trip to San Diego, we will definitely be renting this house again. Thank you, Kim!

The. House was worked out well for our stay.
Great location, easy to get to Old Town, Little Italy & the harbor. the house has everything you need. You can really hear the planes when you’re on he patio- but not so much inside the house. The kitchen is small and might be tough to cook for a large group- we were 6 and made it work, used the gas grill outside which helped. Kim is a great host! Overall well worth it- Had a great time!

If you are looking for a place that is a step above the rest, you have found it. It may not be next to the beach but it is very conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, and the beach is a 5 minute drive. Let's not forget 3 reserved parking spots!! What!? Do yourself a favor and book this one today! And I don't want to forget to mention that all of of slept great! The triple paned windows and comfy mattresses were AWESOME!

From charging stations to kitchen and patio amenities, Kim had everything covered to make sure our family’s stay was fantastic. Our most important criteria is that a rental needs to be clean, and this VRBO delivered in that regard as well. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience!

Very nice and very inviting. Kim was very attentive and maked us feel very comfortable. The only thing that we experienced that was just a little below absolutely perfect was the mattress on the master bed.

This was absolutely one of the best accommodations we have ever had. The 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment was very clean, beautifully furnished and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could possibly need for a home away from home. The owner Kim welcomed us with the most delicious pie and a warm greeting along with a list of recommended places to go and see. We truly could not have asked for more. Mahalo Kim! We hope to stay with you again soon.

Kim's property was absolutely perfect! Her attentiveness to both the details of the property and responsiveness to messages is better than 5 out of 5. The home has so many simple fun touches that made the stay comfortable and convenient. We were able to relax and explore beautiful San Diego with little worries and then sit by the fire at night and enjoy the property!

We really enjoy our stay at FLOR DE CHATEAU JOLIE. Not only was the interior beautifully done with plenty of personal space, an electronic zone and a couple of quiet corners to go to. There was also a selection of coffee and teas and being the cook I really appreciated the variety of spices available.
My husband enjoyed the having a TV available in several rooms. My teenager enjoyed the bunk room and the games available. Sadly we were there during the "Atmospheric River" and weren't able to use the beautiful back patio. The location of the home was off the main road BUT so close to everything. Check out her book of "what to see" it's quite informative. Kim is a very thoughtful hostess.

This place was easy to find, had all the accommodations and more for our stay. Very clean and homelike. The beds were so very comfortable!! Internet was very fast and convenient to get connected to. Central location for us while in our short first trip to San Diego!! The host was amazing!!

Kim was such a conscientious host! Friendly and available to contact during our entire stay and she has made the unit such a cozy and comfortable environment. Everything you could think of needing for a stay was available and things you’d never have thought of as well. We were all very impressed by how fully stocked and prepared our vacation spot was. Would 120% stay here again and could not recommend it for anyone else more. This is a stand out property with a standout hostess!!! 5 stars and then some!!

If you are questioning at all about whether to rent this property, DO IT!! I can't say enough good about it!! We are frequent VRBO renters, and Kim is by far the BEST host. Everything said in all the reviews is true. You just can't find a host that has put more thought into her property and making it the very best stay for her guests. I loved it!! The house was so charming and homey. Kim was very friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond and thought of every little thing to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable, from “toiletries and necessities we may have forgotten”, to a stocked shed for any imaginable beach need, to a birthday gift for our daughter and a gift of a locally favorite pie. Every room had a TV with Roku and the bunk room had toys and retro video games that was fun for the kids. And above all, especially in the heat wave we were there for…two A/C units!

This was a nice little cottage that had everything we could think of inside. Plenty of information on location and things in the vicinity. Parking was the only thing at first that was confusing. Other than that it all went well.

My wife and I stayed with our four kids at Kim’s property and we all enjoyed. Kim was full of helpful information before our arrival and was a quick text away during our stay. Super close to the beach, SeaWorld and Zoo. Easy access to where we needed to go.
The accommodations were as described and provided plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The rental is stocked with everything you need! Kim’s thoughtful preparation and well stocked “Pantry Store” was a kid-snack life saver. One of kids left behind there clothing and Kim was nice enough to mail back to us! Our overall experience was positive from start to finish. Thanks!

We had a pleasant stay in Point Loma Heights. The house was nicely decorated and everything was there (shampoo, bodylotion, salt, etc). There was a nice patio. All necessities for the beach were also available such as towels, beach chairs and umbrellas. We had a great stay in the house.

This was our first joint family vacation, and my first with a baby. It couldn't have been better!
Kim has a great property with every conceivable ammenity provided. Kid friendly, comfortable, cute, and accessible to so many of San Diegos highlights.
She is not only available, but approachable and very kind. She has really put so much thought into making a stay here more than 'just a place to sleep'. We were happy to hang out and be in the property!
I have already recommended it to friends and would definitely look into it again.

This place looked amazing by the listing and it was nice but it simply was not a good fit for me and my family. We arrived late after spending a day at Disneyland and just went to sleep that night. Should we have arrived earlier we would have not checked in at all. There are too many small pieces that the kids think are for play that are not (we have a 1, 3 and 5 yo). The backyard patio is not enclosed and we weren't able to hang out there for long either. Aside from that the place is fabulous and I would def recommend it to anyone w/o young children. Kim is very thorough and kind and I really appreciated all of the details and efforts she put into our stay. I really wish it would've worked out for us! Maybe once our littles are a bit older, we will try again :)

We have stayed at many VRBO properties over the years. I have never stayed at one that paid so much attention to detail and supplying you with anything you could possibly need during your stay. Kim has decorated it so cutely and she is lovely to work with. We were at Comic Con mostly, so we did not get to enjoy staying there as much as I wish we could have but the time spent was quite enjoyable. There is a lovely patio outback and everyone had a great time. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful Stay
Kim is the host with the most! Minutes after booking Kim reached out to me to get to know a little about our family and what our plans were while we were staying in San Diego. Kim asked for the names of all the kids in our group so she could write a welcome message on the door of the room the kids would be staying in, and she also sent a very comprehensive list she put together of fun things to do in San Diego, many of them being free of charge. Upon arriving Kim met us at the property to show us how to get in and gave us a quick tour. When I say Kim thought of everything for this house SHE THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING. The kids room is stocked full of toys, video games, and movies. The kitchen has everything you would possibly need including a fully stocked coffee bar, and a snack cabinet that rivals four star hotels/resorts. I cannot give Kim or her property enough stars. Thanks again, Kim!
