Clontarf Castle Hotel

Beautiful hotel, clean , comfortable and excellent value breakfast

Nothing , we all want things a little cheaper but it was worth it .

The castle was such a lovely and unique hotel. The staff were excellent. We did not eat here but it seemed very busy and popular. The bed was so comfortable! The hotel was close to both the ferry and the airport.

The location and the setting was beautiful. A lovely modern building whilst being very mindful to protect the original building. Plenty of parking .

The staff are barely friendly. The food service was good , however my wife and I ordered room service late after arriving back from a concert, nothing complicated, 2 chicken mayo sandwiches and 2 cups of tea. They arrived at our room under silver covers, toasted- burnt black toast. We had no choice but to eat them as we were starving also the tea was cold ( 2 cups with teabags, not a pot which would have been the better way to present.) all for €31.30. The breakfast buffet was good and well presented and also reasonably priced. We had booked a taxi to take us to a concert which was taken by other guests leaving us late to attend the concert. Guest services weren't able to offer any advice on how to get back to the hotel. Tip: if using Taxis in Dublin you have to book through Free Now App. As it's now impossible to hail one on the street.
