The host was very welcoming and accommodating allowing us to keep our luggage there until check in time. The location was ideal and felt very safe. Everything was clean and comfortable, the bathroom would have been tight for a taller traveler.
The only downside was the noise early in the morning. I’m unsure if this was other travelers dragging their luggage down the road or what it was. But it was 4:45a and incredibly loud. This is clearly something that wouldn’t happen all the time so don’t let it keep you from booking this stay

We really liked the place. The location is amazing, and the antique furniture in our room gave it a lot of charm. Very big spacious room.
The only things that could be improved are minor, like the hairdryer and kettle not working properly.

Position. Cleanliness. Ease of checking in and communication. Balcony over canal. Big windows. Comfort of bed.
Bathroom door was so so noisy and had to be locked by key only. Bedroom door locked by key only so in a night if toilet needed, far too many keys for locking and unlocking. Very easy to add a turn lock in the inside of a door and fix the very noisy bathroom door hinge that must wake everyone up. Restaurant below has very noisy kitchen.

The location was good when we eventually found the place
Not really a hotel. No staff on site. It’s just a few rooms. No reception. We were met when we arrived and given keys. That was the only time we saw anybody. No daily service. Bathroom was across the hall but exclusively ours. No hot water on second day. Mould in shower which also wasn’t clean. Mound on walls. The place was full of air fresheners and damp removal pots - smelled like a nursing home
