Lake Nona Wave Hotel

The room was beautiful. The beds were definitely comfortable like sleeping on marshmallows. Watching the sun rise from our bed threw the balcony door opened was the gest experience. The staff is very friendly . Shout out to housekeeping they are amazing. Saturday night the lobby is extremely busy with patron for the restaurants & bars they have.

Housekeeper came at 8:30am to clean room. A little too early.

Colorful and clean. Free parking which was safe.

Possibly add a few more hotel directional signs.

LOVED the location next to Boxi Park. Always a fun area

The hotel itself is beautiful. The lobby and overall décor were very nice, the sculpture garden was a lovely touch, and the gym had great amenities. We didn’t use the pool, so I can’t speak to that. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly impacted by how an issue with our first room was handled. We had just arrived after a 13-hour + international flight and were in town for a funeral. We were only staying for five days and were already exhausted. Shortly after getting settled, we discovered that the toilet in our room would not flush properly and the water continued to rise. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize there was a problem until after the first person used it. The front desk was made aware of the situation, but there was very little sense of urgency in getting it resolved. We ended up having to use the bathroom in the lobby and the second-floor bathroom throughout the first night, which was incredibly inconvenient and frustrating given the circumstances. What made the situation worse was the communication from the staff. We were told that we had turned down an offer to move to another room, which was not true. We were not offered another room until the following day. There was also an issue with staff claiming they had knocked on our door for 20 minutes. When that was questioned, the story changed. At that point, it became very difficult to feel that we were being dealt with honestly. A manager eventually contacted me and offered a cabana by the pool as a gesture of goodwill. Given the circumstances of our trip which the hotel was aware of I found that offer completely inappropriate and disconnected from what we were actually dealing with. Our concern wasn't having a place to sit by the pool; it was having a functioning bathroom and receiving basic consideration and assistance after an exhausting international trip and during an already difficult time for our family.
