Sunsetfalls Gardens and Resort

Hello from Montreal, Canada! Even if it took us 26 Hours of flying and 3 Hours of driving to get here, we'd do it all over again to experience this one of a kind resort filled with genuinely kind staff. They were so communicative from the moment I did my booking through a third party right until check-out. During my stay, they've used WhatsApp to conveniently contact me in order make arrangements so that my experience was comfortable. The staff were always a joy to talk with even with the language barriers between us. They always made an effort to make sure we had everything taken care of. We rented the Hillside Studio villa and the villa itself was was even better than the pictures they've listed on their websites. The bed was sooooooooo comfortable and the pillows were a dream to sleep on. The welcome snacks and daily fresh fruits were nicely curated. Although the resort itself lacked facilities from other 4-5 stars hotels/ resorts. The excursions and the experiences they offer more than make up for it. They offer culinary classes of the local food, water rafting, ATV rides at the local town, a small zoo and many more! (And honestly, I'd rather go on an ATV ride in the mountains than going to the gym at such a high altitude) It is true that GRAB on GOJEK doesn't work in the local area, but there is a convenient store down the bloc from the main entrance and the Cerita Kita restaurant offers a wide variety of food and drinks with amazing views of the surrounding mountains. I have been to 50+ cities across the world and stayed at all different kinds of place from Airbnb rentals, big brand hotels/ resorts, private chalet and dômes in the woods and this is definitely one of the best places I've stayed at.

Breakfast should change menu every alternate days or even better everyday.

We were at the resort for 3 nites & the breakfast was the same everyday.

Architecture and layout of the resort is phenomenal, looks inspired by Japanese gardens, very peaceful. The dinner restaurant had plenty of choices for Western and Indo. The room was comfortable and cozy, with a private pool in the back. We liked having Netflix available. Shower had great temperature range, plenty of hot water. Breakfast staff were friendly and helpful, if perhaps a little afraid of an English speaking American. :-)

More coffee options. I’d be happy to just have normal brewed coffee available, not restricted to Turkish style. Also suggest offering a hotel-sponsored shuttle to take you up and down the hill for visits into town.

Huisjes waren prima, maar slecht onderhouden. Ruime slaapkamer met prima bedden.

Slecht onderhouden. Personeel spreekt geen woord Engels.
