Hotel is a gorgeous property, a little old . Staff were very friendly. They gave us a room on the second floor No view all we could see was the entrance roof top. But the other guess were very noisy.
We heard everyone that walked by, came in late , couldn’t open their room door . Too much noise for my liking .
Check in was easy and check out too.
Wish they would maintain their room puts had the cloth hanger in the bathroom completely off. No tras bags on trash cans ( I guess they are trying to not use plastic ?? Who knows .
i would definitely stay here again bit away from the noise

Beautiful hotel and perfect location to the walkable downtown for food, shopping and entertainment. Conveniently located by the Lick Run Greenway for a nice exercise trail.

Bed was not awesome and door to room was so poorly sealed when shut that we could hear people in the hall very loudly late in the night and they were not being particularly loud. Also, don’t like when essentially mandatory parking is not included in room rate.

Our room arrangement was awkward in that the tv was not in a position to be watched from bed. Also, there was no clock which was ok but strange. On the positive side there was a good supply of coffee which was appreciated

I loved the history of the hotel and was very impressed with the quality and cleanliness. We dined at the Regency which was wonderful and experienced great customer service at every turn. Will definitely return.

This is an amazing hotel with so much history and charm! It’s always a pleasure to visit. We stayed there to visit with with family and had a wonderful New Year’s Eve meal at the Regency! Wonderful! Our server, Caleb, was outstanding. A very memorable night!

It was overall a nice stay. The only thing is bar drinks were super overpriced and really not very good. The bar was very busy so I understand.

This is a beautiful hotel en every way, from the outside to the lobby and restaurant to the rooms and the staff. We have reservations to stay again on our return trip.

Loved the ambiance of the whole place being an older hotel and being so close to the downtown...would have liked the pool to be accessible (and warm) and the hot tub to have been hotter and bigger but oh well! The acoustics in the bar on the main floor are hard to deal with with a huge group of people in there but it is all a great hotel and has some great qualities. The breakfast is well worth it and lovely.

Hotel Roanoke is a beautiful place to stay. Very convenient to downtown Roanoke and they provide a free shuttle to to nearby places. Restaurants and services were excellent.

Staying here was the completion of a longtime wish. Suzanne was especially helpful in checking us in and helping us navigate. We also appreciated parking our RV conveniently outside the back door.

Beautiful historic hotel right in the downtown area walkable with very good restaurants. We had a comfortable king size bed with comfortable sheets and pillows. Room was clean, nicely, decorated, just a little crowded with furniture. Restaurant food very good and nice bar with live music. We would definitely stay here again

The property was not very clean. One out of three elevators was disabled during entire stay. Room has not been very well cleaned with debris on floor and three pairs of shoes from prior guest still in closet/armoire. The only outlet in bathroom was not functioning making it impossible to operate hair dryer resulting in my wife having to use TV in main room like a mirror. At $500 per night not what I had expected.

Dislikes: Check-in is 4pm; we arrived at 6pm and were told to wait 15-20 for our room. Why wasn't the room ready? There is no laundry room available for guest use; when traveling w/an athlete, laundry facilities are necessary. AC is not easily controlled...would not drop below 65 setting.
Likes: The staff (gentleman) who installed a safety seat/chair in the shower for my son was friendly and very efficient. The valet-men were kind. Room was clean.
