Security: There were no parking lot lights any of the nights I stayed at the property.
Hospitality: The free coffee bar didn't have sugar or cream. After asking I was told 2 days in a row they were out. No one could make a store trip??
Accomodations: Pool, closed. Workout room, closed. Room was not serviced while I was there. COVID IS OVER. Towels were old and poor quality. Light in the bathroom was out. Told mgt, not fixed. Tub fixtures leaked all the time, toilet same. 3 bottles of conditioner, no hand lotion. I've stayed at this property every year for the last 6 years during the racing weekend in Birmingham, Al. I won't be staying any more. This property should be shut down and completely redone, including management.

My room smelled like smoke. The hallways carpet and chair needed cleaning. The hotel breakfast consisted of coffee, apples and oranges. The pool and workout rooms were closed for maintence with no one working on them.

Upon arriving at the hotel for check in, we went to our room and we had to change rooms since it was dirty and the floor was wet. My daughter took off her shoes and her socks became wet from the carpet. There was dirt along the walls as if they never cleaned against the walls.
We changed rooms and the next room was still dirty and the TV did not work right. The receptionist was able to get the tv to work. Although we wanted to change hotels, we stuck it out. We will never stay here again!!!

Did not have the room that I chose on the Internet at all in this hotel. Moved us around to three different rooms. Had a strange person. Come bring us new keys when our keys didn’t work.

We paid and reserved a room, BUT that doesnt guarantee a room. We had to wait a hour in the lobby to see if they had a room. They had to bring in cleaners. By far the grossest place i ever been. They were talking horrible about Hotels.com too.

Staff was nice and friendly. My room was nice and quiet. Love having the balcony because I smoke. Breakfast was decent I’ll most definitely be back.

As to a room for the night, it served its purpose. The bed was too firm. The hotel is dated and in need of TLC. My view overlooked a garden area that was partially covered. On that cover were 11 chewing/dipping tobacco cans and over 100 cigarette buts. The seats in that outside are were torn and dated. The patio itself was neglected and littered with bird droppings and the glass was not cleaned.

I had to wait 2 hours in the lobby after my arrival to check in because they had no rooms ready, they had guests that were noisy which made it hard to sleep at night and the next morning the breakfast was not ready on time and they served food without the proper condiments to accommodate. I will not be staying at this hotel again and I do not recommend it!

First our room was not cleaned before hand. We got to the hotel around 9:15PM. The room they we were going to put us in was never cleaned from previous customers. Trash was everywhere the bed had dirty slept in sheets. The next room we didn’t get into until 11/11:30 PM. That room was being cleaned right before we got into the room. We were waiting in the hallway for them to finish cleaning the room and still the room was also dirty with trash everywhere the TV was not working and the shower was leaking. The door to the room had a huge gap at the bottom of the door and you could see into hallways. The staff said it was not a big deal. The manager was not around to speak with so talked to her over the phone and she also said it’s not a big deal that the hotel being dirty is normal. The manager said she would do a full refund and send an email to confirm that and we have not heard from her.

Hotel is in poor condition. No restaurant or bar as advertised. Street noise was terrible. Hard to get a good sleep. Fitness room closed. Outside patio cushions full of mold.

Bed was comfy & room was clean. Online advertised a coffee shop and a free breakfast. We went for breakfast there was no coffee, no syrup, very minimal options. Coffee shop wasn’t open and we could not find an employee to ask. That was a little frustrating. There were no cups in the room to fix coffee in the room. The water in the tub wouldn’t shut off and it was more than a little drip.

I come to Birmingham one week a month to allow my son to visit with family , and it is absolutely amazing . Everyone us very friendly and welcoming . . Everyone is so kind and sweet to my 3 year old.. love stayin here will be back next month lol .

I had to change rooms a couple of times almost three but the third room didn't have a refrigerator. The first room, no signal on television, the second room, the light over the sink was out. Breakfast mediocre. They were out of alot of condiments. Bagel but no cream cheese. Toast but no jelly. These are all little things that leave big impressions. I felt like the property's mission is to provide comfortable bedding and the required items. Everything is extra and not needed for your stay. The property could use new carpet and furnishings. The outlets were lose too. It's okay for one maybe two nights. The property is in a good location. Seems like a safe area, shopping and restaurants within a mile.

Price was good. Staff very friendly. Most of the parking overhead lights were out- felt unsafe. Indoors the fitness room was closed bc repairs were being made ( stayed 2 nights). Breakfast was a no go after I watched the worker pull the food out (bagels, sausage patties and cooked bacon) without gloves and place in warmers, griddle. In room, chair stained and water dripping but that was an easy fix. I may have come at an off time but the lack of outdoor lighting and the gloveless food prep were issues for me.

Check in was chaotic, they gave me an occupied room. Breakfast - there was no cream for coffee and there was coffee but no hot water for tea.

I am very upset abt this hotel making unauthorized charges to my credit card. The front desk said i would be charged $20 deposit. And i signed ONLY for a $20 deposit. I check my credit card two days later they have charged an amount in $96.80 twice and another charge of $20. I call the hotel when i leave bc my daughter had an early volleyball tournament to make sure they close out my rooms. The front desk said they would and she would have her manager look into the additional charges. I check today and it’s 2 new charges that have posted of $$116.80 and two pending charges of still $96.80. I paid for my hotel stay with my debit card of $335. There is no way in hell this hotel should’ve been charging my card like this. Very disgusted with this whole experience. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! And i’ve disputed ALL unauthorized charges!!! Just crooks!!!!!!

We had to change rooms several times.
The first room smelt like dog urine.
The second room had bugs all over the curtains and window (INSIDE THE ROOM) !!!
The third room the heater/AC unit didn’t work and it was freezing. But worst of all there was a brown crusty spot on the sheet. It was not a stain! It was crusty!! They didn’t wash the sheets and bedding!!!!!!!!!
I am horrified. I am 34 and I have stayed in many hotels and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
The only good thing about this hotel is the front desk staff. They were very nice. I wish I could get my money back though. I didn’t sleep at all. I was busy trying to keep my kid warm and away from the filth. I have pictures of the bedding with the crusty brown spot and the bugs.

The stay was mostly good. Free and easy parking and a nice sized room. Good and friend;ly staff checkin and directions given for breakfast.
The bed was comfortabe and clean. The heater was hard to get set in a comfy temp despite a maintenance worker coming to check it out early evening. (announced with a big bang on the door as I was trying to nap, but whatever) I had to turn it off during the night to sleep so it was a bit chill in the morning. The bathroom was clean with a good shower but there were no shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower containers. I opened the soap provided , it fell in the shower and shattered into 8 pieces. Guess is was a little old? Other than that, a good stay and worth another try down the road. I didn't eat breakfast as there was a Cracker Barrel 10 minutes away.

Clean but not very well appointed. One of the less impressive complimentary breakfasts I've seen. Wouldn't recommend for business or long stays, but it was fine for a couple nights for a family not spending much time in the room.

I stayed at a couple of different rooms around the Christmas holiday this year. The staff was excellent each time, everyone was friendly and took care of anything I brought to their attention. There are some wonderful people working there and they made my stay a treat. The property itself needs some work, some lights in the rooms don't work, some outlets don't work, one room was out of shampoo and conditioner. I'm sure they would have handled these issues if I had brought them up, I just didn't have the time during my stay. You absolutely cannot beat the people there, though.

Only 2 stars because although when walking in it seems nice the rooms are anything but…. The receptionist is very kind and so was the owner. But the room smelt like smoke and after I asked for another room she said that smokers and people with dogs stay in same rooms. I did come with my dog and it was ok. But the room smells and the elevator was constantly wet from people coming in and out the pool. It was pleasant for just the night and price was OK could’ve been a little less. There was a balcony in room which was nice. But the A/C was difficult to navigate. Overall, ok if you need somewhere just to sleep but request room that doesn’t smell if staying longer as all the bed sheets and everything smell.

So the night staff was pretty amazing nice and helpful. However upon check out the next morning I was told that my credit card was declined. What they meant was that hotels.com card that they used was declined and told me that I owed for the room. I tried to explain that I had paid for the room throughhotels.com however once I got home they had ran my card without my consent and charged me for the second time. It took a whole day for me to get it straightened out between the hotel and hotels.com and I'm still waiting on hotels.com to make it right since it was their mistake that caused all this to begin in the first place.
