Fermain Valley Hotel

The room and en-suite were lovely - beautifully appointed and very quiet. Just what we needed. The staff went out of their way to help. There are three car parks and we had no trouble parking. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of food for every taste. There are three restaurants, The Ocean, The Steak House and Buho (serving Mexican food). Sadly, The Ocean was only open one night during our four night stay as the fish dishes there were excellent. Seemed such a shame as Guernsey is famous for it's seafood. One niggle about The Steak House: the red wine was served warm - but the staff did provide some crushed ice to help! One point not related to the hotel but one to note - although parking everywhere is free you need to display a time clock on your dashboard to show what time you arrived in the car park and car parks are divided into different length stays. Be warned! We had no idea how this operated and found that you can buy the clocks (£6)either from the Tourist Information Bureau or the Police Station. All in all, a lovely hotel and a beautiful island to visit.

Staff fantastic... breakfast excellent...food good...not happy about auto tip on food bills I know we can take it off but doesn't sit well Really disappointed that the pool was out of action...we were told we could use the sister hotel but we didn't have transport so that wasn't going to be easy...it's a shame because the pool was one of the reasons we booked. Our room though did have a marvellous view of the bay.

This place is a real gem and very well located - I had a tree house room which was awesome but I am sure all the rooms will be as good - the double shower in my room along with pebble floor just made the room extra special Food - awesome both breakfast and evening meals - fantastic quality and the evening meals were very reasonably priced STAFF - AWESOME from checking in, using the pool and especially the restaurant the team at this hotel are just fantastic! They made the stay even better!
