Good: Quiet, convenient location, nice view, suite furniture layout and overall design.
Bad: Very hard mattress. Overall cleanliness sub-par for a 4-star hotel, specifically in the bathroom. Active mold in the shower grout, hair and debris on the floors and buildup in the corners, dust buildup, hair in clean towels, etc. It is almost as though it has not been thoroughly cleaned in years, and not adequately cleaned between guest stays.

The Oaklander was outstanding in cleanliness, service, decor and friendliness of staff. It is truly a five star hotel. We didn’t want to leave!

Comfortable beds and room. Appreciate you having an umbrella for guests. Great coffee machine. I wish you also offered tea. The restaurant is excellent.

We had an great stay, and really enjoyed everything. My only problem was with yhe pillows. I was surprised that such a nice hotel would have foam pillows. Not comfortable at all.

Would have given five stars except dinner in the hotel let us down a little. Several menu items weren't available and then a few weren't consistent with expectations given how nice the dining room and staff were. For example, we had the octopus appetizer and it looked like they took the octopus through a grater -- with balsamic dressing on the greens completely overpowering any flavor the octopus might have had. The burger and fries, were, however, yummy.

Close/able to walk to event we were there to see.
Staff were courteous, helpful and friendly.
Room was comfortable. Coffee maker dirty and didn’t work. There were 2 complimentary bottles first day only but couple we traveled with had 4 bottles each day. Would have preferred a regular compact refrigerator and more hooks in bathroom.

Beautiful hotel that made our visit. The smell of the lobby, the restaurant and bar, the linens-everything was top notch. Perfect place to stay!

This is a nice property very close to Pitt. The facility is nice, if a bit bizarre that the front desk is essentially a hostess stand outside the restaurant on the 10th floor. For an Autograph property, some unforced errors that diminish the experience. Disability rooms guarantee a wet bathroom floor. Room stocked with only decaf coffee requiring more than one call to the front desk. Very nice fitness center. Signature drinks at the bar are unpleasantly sweet. Had a pleasant stay with a few areas that could be improved at this price point.

Our anniversary was amazing, everyone was courteous and kind even if you just bumped into them in the halls. It was like they wanted the experience to be special. Thank you.

Extremely clean. Very friendly staff. Great bar. We didn’t eat the food but I’m sure it was good. Can’t give it a perfect review because honestly we all had a terrible night sleep. The mattress was very uncomfortable and the pillows were crazy thick. After checking the cabinets for additional pillows and blankets only to find none, Im sure we could have called for more pillows but at that point we had been tossing and turning for hours and didn’t want to deal with calling. In the morning we woke up getting ready to tour the PITT campus with our prospective student needing a boost of caffeine. Surprised to see all the coffee pods were decaf! Fortunately Starbucks was a short walk away.

For a highly rated hotel— not worth it/disappointing. Valet parking… waited 10 minutes before greeted. The valets themselves were great, but must be understaffed. Did not reserve a handicap room, but that is was assigned. Only enough towels for 2 people, although reservation was for 3 persons. No free breakfast. Went to the dining room and was asked if I had a reservation like we didn’t belong. Service was slow. Like we were evaluated as not worthy or rich enough as other patrons. Sorry, but you have no idea what is in my bank account. Some of the staff— super nice/friendly— most were snobby/judgmental.
Not worth the money. Had better stays HIE.

I travel constantly for work. I’ve been doing that for 30 years. I can honestly say that this is one of the cleanest, most comfortable and best run hotels I’ve ever experienced. I would definitely recommend this place. Fantastic breakfast by the way.
