Wonderful new hotel that is right on the malecón.it is close to downtown and walkable to most places in the main square. The roof top pool is nice to watch the street below but also the sea. Only suggestion is to get a water station next to the ice machine so we dont have to have to use plastic water bottles that are wasteful and bad for the environment.

Location, Location, Location, hotel was great, all of the staff where very nice and help full. This is a small hotel, only 28 rooms, if you want a view and coffee in your room, do not book Standard room, pay for a up grade Superior or Deluxe. Pool is small, only 4 sun chairs but we stayed two week and never had a problem with it! Two minor problems but we knew them(no glass(drinking) and washcloths) we took some of both and just left them. When we go again we will be staying at Hotel Libre.

The rooms and service were great. They advertised food and drink, and pool, on the amenities list, that was only slightly accurate, the pool was very small, and the food and drink was a small bar by the pool that was only open until 1:00pm daily.

Clean hotel. Great location. Towels are a little rough and some need to be replaced but overall a very nice place to stay. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant on the property has great staff and delicious food.

It’s a nice hotel in a good location but be aware if you book a snack bar view room you will look at a wall. I wish the description was more clear when offering this room.

It was an entertaining view. We loved looking at the different people on the sea.
We paid the upgrade, but still only had partial view in a standard room. For a semi upscale room, first day no kleenex, no glasses in room, no washclothes and breakfast not included in this expedia room.
I would hate to see our room if we didn't pay an upgrade.
All in all a comfortable room with a nice size balcony.

Very nice hotel for the price, right on the coastal road of Cozumel Centro. Bed was very comfortable, nice large shower. In room AC was a little loud if fan was at max setting. Nice outdoor terrace cafe on the fourth floor with beautiful views of the ocean.

This is a wonderful hotel by any standards. Every design element was clearly thought through carefully to make an inviting and comfortable space. I’m so glad we stayed there because I got the flu the night we got there. For 24 hours I felt like I was going to die and I was so grateful to be in this clean, very comfortable, beautiful hotel. The beds and pillows were so comfy, the view was beautiful, and all the staff were amazing. The restaurant was also very good and so convenient. Reasonable price for how nice the hotel is. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This property was a great place to stay in Cozumel especially for the price. It was clean, accommodating, comfortable and updated. The staff was great and I enjoyed coming back to a VERY clean room each night after all day activities. This is walkable to plenty of restaurants and bars. If you are like me and do not enjoy staying at an all inclusive resort, this is a great stay in Cozumel. Will come back here whenever we return!

Pool is small and cold. Room has an ocean view, safe and fridge. They even provide 2 bottles of water. No sandy beach close by. Easy to get a taxi to the airport and close by.

It was clean, modern and great view of the sea. But, no access to snacks or beverages after breakfast and only 1 hand towel, no wash clothes and inconsistent towel pick up. Staff was sweet but not super helpful.

The young lady who checked us in and out was very nice and pleasant to talk to. She recommended dining restaurants that were awesome.

The hotel is conveniently located and the best room has a nice view of the ocean. Otherwise the service is subpar. No restaurant or bar onsite. Staff seemed to be bothered by any questions and talk down to guest. Not allowed to bring anyone not staying in the hotel into our room unless you pay extra. Average at best. Overpriced.

We had a great stay! The hotel is new and very clean. The staff is friendly and quickly fixed the small problem in our room (sink wouldn’t drain). Although there is construction going on outside, you couldn’t hear any of it and it felt very safe during the day and at night. In a great location close walk to the ferry and downtown area.

Due to Street construction and off season the pool bar was closed which was understandable but when I asked for ice for the room I told I had to go buy my ice somewhere else. So I walked 5 minutes and bought a bag of ice and put it in my bathroom sink which lasted a day.

One of the few hotels that really exceeded my expectations... new construction, moderns, pristine, quiet, amazing views, amazing personnel, most relaxing pool with ocean view, gated free parking space, cool AC, spacious room, tall ceiling, most comfortable bed, and an assortment of pillows including my favorite, low profile. 3 blocks from port (no taxi needed) and vast option of restaurants. I would highly recommend Hotel Puerto Libre.

The pool was closed a lot and the restaurant/
bar was not dependably open and not great when it was open.
No coffee maker in the room and difficult on towels and such. Super bright light on central air so room was never dark.
I would stay there again very clean and safe but sparse. Water views and balconies on every room was good.

This was such a beautiful hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was PERFECT. The bed was so comfortable! I never slept so well. The room was spotless and clean. The view from your balcony overlooked the ocean and parts of the tourist area. I can’t say enough nice things about the hotel. We loved our stay. I will recommend this place to anyone who visits.

This was our second stay at Puerto Libre. We returned because we loved our first stay. This time I booked a king room. When we opened the door to our room we were met with a very strong marijuana odor. We could not stay in the room. Because we had booked through Expedia, they would not give us either of their two available king rooms… even after contacting the manager and vouching for us about the smell. It was very disappointing. While we were polite to the staff, I cannot believe management wouldn’t give us the type room we had booked. I would not do business that way.
The hotel also used to serve a very nice breakfast on the patio. That is no longer the case. However. Pancho’s Backyard is across the street and has amazing breakfast.

The view here is amazing and the pool itself is worth the price. Beware the pool bar and kitchen is temporarily closed- didn’t bother us but we did anticipate having a bar on site. The beds are comfy and the beach views are stunning

The restaurant and pool bar are closed. We asked multiple times why and could not get any answers. So there’s no coffee, no drinks, no coffee maker in the room, nothing. It was a bit disappointing that we weren’t able to enjoy a breakfast or drink by the pool.

Very minimal hotel. No wash towels in room. No ice bucket available or any where to get ice. It was very clean and the team was friendly. Very minimal place. For being so new I was a little let down with the condition of the linens in the room. there were many stains on the sheets in the room.
Bar area had very random hours and the pool seemed like a back a drop for girl to get in the pool and stand for hours taking selfies making other guests uncomfortable and the pool not enjoyable...

Perfect location, right in town. Property is brand new. Rooms were always clean and beds comfortable. The front desk staff were probably the nicest front desk staff I have ever come across. Pool is small and closes at 8pm-would be nice if it were open later. Will definitely stay again, it is a great place for adults.

The staff were all really nice. We loved the balcony and had a full view of the ocean. The pool was nice and room was really clean. The internet connection worked great and the A/C was very powerful! Beds were comfortable and shower was nice. All around a great stay and a great price point for what we got.

A perfect stay!
The ocean facing corner room with it's huge balcony was amazing!
The infinity pool on the end of the building was super as was the service and hospitalty of the bar and restaurant staff. Elias was the man... super friendly and a great bartender! The room and entire building was immaculately clean, bright, and airy. The location of Hotel Puerto Libre was the best of ny hotels i researched in the Centro which kept as close the action, provided the best views, and proximity to the local airport (5 minutes away)
