A fantastic and unusual building which is quite impressive on arriving - found out that it was built initially as a school for transport aimed at those working on the construction of railways. Most the building is taken up by the conference part of the business but the rooms are a good size and have all the amenities that you need for a night away. Food in restaurant was filling and plentiful - staff polite and helpful.
My only criticism is that in the morning the shower had two settings - hot and bloody hot - seemed to be no cold coming through - had to deal with a wash using the sink in the end - did mention it to reception and they said they would look at it.

Always clean and staff are friendly, bar was closed due to event but free room service was provided, staff offered more milk for extra coffees as usually grab a coffee from machine near bar.
