Needs a serious cleanup

The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, the room looked as if it was recently refurbished with the latest modern cons, A nicely finished bathroom with a lovley two person spa. Great family space, we will return.

Spacious, well appointed room but just getting tired & with a refurbishment could be excellent.

Avoid Seymours on Lydiard! Absolute waste of money and poorly run establishment. We left the 5 bedroom house after one night, even though we booked for a longer stay. Not sure what was worse - the property (being in a very poor condition), or the service (being dismissive and nonchalant, even admitting to several faults pointed out - clearly knowing the issues but did not fix them). 1. Property condition - Photos displayed are from years past, showing a much better condition (the manager admitted "these photos were from a few years ago, but everything you see in the pictures are still there". Technically true, but the same could be said of Pompeii). 2. Noise - Everything in the house creaks and squeaks when used. The floorboards, door hinges, door knobs, bunk bed. Every step upstairs can be heard in each bedroom. (I was told "it's you yourselves who's making the noise by walking around." My bad, I didn't realise we were meant to not walk!) Being on a main road, the noise from the roads was bad too (someone was racing and doing burnouts the night we were there so safety was a concern too). 3. Broken parts - Blinds don't extend all the way down, downstairs bedroom sliding doors don't slide (I was told "one side works", as if I should be grateful for this.) Spoke early the next morning to the reception/manager who offered to oil the hinges and "we fix what we can, but you're not living in your house here... You can move out if you want". Enough said, we did just that.

Love the stay at Seymour's. The accommodation is close to two great cafes, walkable into the town centre, but it is far enougj to avoid the noise of the traffic. The room is spotless and has all the comforts of home. The room is also fairly spacious. The check in and check out is made so simple. The host are lovely. Definitely will stay there again when i head to Ballarat next.

The unit I was in was spacious, very clean, neat and tidy. It had a wonderful spa bath. There were very ample cooking facilities, a comfy sofa and dining area and very comfortable double bed. Like most places it could do with new inclusions however the COVID crisis has negated this for most places, I would imagine. The biggest asset for the place is the lovely lady who was on reception (? the owner or manager). Very helpful, polite and accommodating. Thank you.

Very amenable to my late booking in and very friendly overall. Suited my simple needs for a bed, shower and relaxation. Great food next door in the North Star pub.

Our room was comfortable and had all that we needed for an overnight stay. Parking was a bit tight but that is common. Good location

Clean and tidy and exactly as stated

Clean room nice manager. Noisy experience as on the bottom floor. No views and terrible parking. Lovely cafe up the road a highlight.

Near and tidy. Busy area with pub next door so barrels and noise after 10pm. Lots of people having early starts and sound carries.

Central location. Good heating. Not the 1 bedroom apartment we thought we were getting - a very large studio with some kitchen facilities

Well maintained Property , very spacious and had lot of useful cooking utensils . Very good place to stay when you travelling with group of friends . Best thing is you have nice pub just opposite to the property ( North star hotel). Loved it !!!

We liked the locality and the interior, but we did not like having to drag our luggage up stairs to reach the room.

We visited Ballarat to see my Grandaughter . She is a Federation Uni student.

Very polite staff. Easy check in. Very clean premises with plenty of open space for our daughter to roam around. TV, Netflix, free wifi, car park right next to our door & under cover. Overall very pleased & will be using this hotel again in the future.
