Noise from Cowley road even on a Monday but settle early enough

Crown House continues to supply great value for money accommodation in Oxford - a very good, large room with a good shower at a very reasonable price of about £90 a night.
My room had a microwave and a fridge, but no cutlery or plates, which I had to buy myself from the nearby Tescos. (I was staying for 10 days and so wanted to eat in my room.) More pillows would also have been nice. But no real complaints.

The price, size and location were all great. I would stay there again if visiting either Oxford or Oxford Brookes University. It's a 15-minute walk to the uni, and there's a Tesco Express 2 minutes away.
Only a minor point, but the fridge wasn't switched on, so it wasn't any use to keep our drinks cool for the evening. But, it's a very minor issue.

Good size & clean
Position was not good. Loud venue next door & violence was heard in the middle of the night. Woke us & was horrible. Car parking was terrible, parked for 5 minutes to get bags out & got fined. Paid too much for the place in its location.

"The room was fresh and clean with a nice big comfortable King sized bed, a fridge and a fan, good shower and only a 20 min walk from the centre."
