The Castle Hotel, Conwy, North Wales

A friendly welcome although despite checking in online we still had to repeat the process at reception. The parking instructions had changed since we had made the booking only a few days earlier so we had to move the car. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and a lovely welcome note which was a nice touch. The shower curtain bracket was broken in the en-suite which we reported to reception although the curtain could still be used. There was plenty of hot water however, the water pressure from the shower was weak so it took awhile to rinse off. The extractor fan does run on for a very long time. Thankfully we do not need the tv as reception was very poor despite the Amazon firestick. The evening meal was fine but breakfast with the full Welsh was variable and some components were too dried out e.g. bacon, black pudding. All the staff were helpful and readily available even as they were clearly very busy.

Great spot right in town centre. Very helpful and friendly staff. Free parking as well. Restaurant is very nice as well. Rooms very comfortable also and quiet
