The Towers Hotel and Spa

My second stay here in the last couple of months and once again I was not disappointed. I stayed on the main building with a lovely room. I used the gym facilities and instead of dining elsewhere, decided to stay on site and eat at their restaurant. The food was utterly delicious and completely vindicated my decision. A great night's sleep was followed by a cracking breakfast with me fully refreshed for the day ahead. The staff were really friendly and I will be here again when I am next in the area.

My first time staying here and I was immediately impressed with the scope of the site, especially with the parking which was close to the main building, reception and annex building. I was politely greeted and went to my room in the annex building. The room was clean and well decorated with a working air con system. There were plenty of dining options within a couple of miles of the hotel. I booked the hotel as it included a gym set up. There were a good selection of cardio machines but only a few workstations for weight training and the dumbbell options only went up to 7kg. Despite that, I was able to cobble together some form of workout. The bed provided a great night's sleep after a decent shower. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay with the cooked breakfast ingredients of a very high quality leading me to think they were locally sourced but there were also continental options available. All in all it was a pleasant stay and I would gladly come back here.

The room was great, spacious and comfortable including 2 tvs. There was ample parking, swimming pool, free WiFi and sky tv, although not all sky stations. There was plenty of choice for the evening meal and while basic in presentation, was tasty and plentiful. Breakfast was also very good. The only slight negative was that the upmarket shower needed some maintenance, with limescale affecting the operation and the controls not working well.
