Palazo dei CONTI in Split Centre OLD town

Jedyny i tylko jedyny minus to hałas w nocy z pobliskiego pubu.

Very clean, comfortable, super spacious, historical, spacious. It has this historical vibe and yet has modern amenities. Showers are great, beds are very large and comfortable. Location, location, location!

One are for improvement is noise. Because this is in the center of Split and in a very popular street, it has a lot of people til late at night and carriers early in the morning. The place would be perfect if it had sound proof windows. Also, the noise coming from the floor above is very strong. Must be wooden floor. One can hear every step from the cracking wood.

The property was stunning and in the perfect location to walk almost anywhere!

I’d maybe skip if you are bringing young children to put to bed at night. The lively restaurant/bar across the way (it’s a great place!) but has live music playing into the night. It was wonderful for me and my “adult” children but if you had to put a baby or small child to sleep at night it may be harder

The apartment is beautiful and historically interesting. The tall ceilings were incredible and gave a very grand impression. The host was fantastic, available and helpful whenever we needed him. He went out of his way to be accommodating and this helped make the stay more enjoyable for us. There was easy access in/out of the palace walls, and the central location was easy to get to and from when exploring the laneways within.

The apartment is directly across a very narrow laneway from a busy restaurant and multiple busy bars, so the noise was excessive on 4 of the 5 nights we stayed. Over the weekend there was loud bass, loud talking and on-street partying until nearly 3am and the windows have no soundproofing. The 2nd floor location actually increased the noise levels because it bounced off the rock walls as it travelled upward. Even after the bars were closed there were incredibly loud groups of partiers walking through past the apartment through the lane each night. This is no fault of the host, but it was not a good location for a family to be staying. We expected noise, but were unlucky as this is the loudest location in the entire palace. These loud street conversations and yelling were worse than the bass. If my wife and I were visiting Split a few years ago and able to stay out late and eat/drink ourselves then this wouldn't have been as much of an issue for us, but having a baby and being back in the unit by 10pm each night, we were dealing with up to 5 hours of street noise each night.
