Lovely decor with stunning views. Friendly and attentive staff. Our room was very comfortable and had a new ensuite, all spotless. The restaurant and dining rooms are beautifully styled with a quality and relaxed vibe still in keeping with a very old traditional Lakeland Inn. Having a large carpark in the Lakes is a plus so no stress there. Its located at the foot of Catbells so even if you're not a walker, you're in the fells.
The evening meal is a little more expensive than a typical pub but for the quality of the ingredients, real skilled chef and good selection it was well worth it. Great breakfast too.
The bed was very comfortable but the frame style is easy to catch your shin on the corner.

Location, attractive,comfortable and clean
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Peaceful
No food on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Bar closed a 8 pm

Great location; clean and comfortable room
Also ate at property and evening meal service was poor; had to wait for 1hr for food to be served despite it all being pre-ordered. Breakfast service was much better. Not asked how stay was when we checked out
