The location is close to the train station. It’s on the first floor with a small balcony facing the yard. The room was clean.

The apartment is equipped with a portable air conditioner with a flexible exhaust hose to release the hot air. However, there is no opening in the door or wall for the hose, so the only way to use it is to leave the door open and run the hose through the doorway. As a result, the air conditioner is much less effective because the hot air can simply flow back into the room. Since the apartment is on the ground floor, I also need to keep the door closed while sleeping for security reasons. Therefore, the room becomes very hot and stuffy at night, and it is difficult to sleep comfortably.

Lage in Kleinbasel ist super, vermieterin unkompliziert. Prima war das mobile Klimagerät.

Sehr lauter Straßenlärm.

Ja sehr gemütlich

Very clean, nice decor, only 10 minutes walk to train and a few minutes to tram stop, or 20-30 minutes to the old town. Host responded to most queries quickly.

We were asked to move apartments which we agreed to. The day before I asked for check-in info and was told we were back to the original apartment, it seemed they had forgotten to tell me. We found the check-in procedures complex - although clear details were given it was a bit hard finding the lock box inside the post box and entering the number was very difficult to see in the dark. It was then a fiddle to swap the keys for the city tax cash. We would have liked a blind at the kitchen window. The kitchen wasn’t as well equipped as we’d like - only one fork, a wok but no frying pan, no toaster, no chopping board, the kettle leaks a bit when pouring. Basel-card should be issued on check in. I messaged the morning after to ask, then chased and eventually received it after 12.30pm - over 15 hours after check in and we were only staying 2 nights so lost a morning of free transport. Only one toilet roll for a 2 day stay for 2 adults and no toiletries except hand soap. Large bed but mattress quite soft with 2 very thin small single duvets and a small blanket between us.
