The breakfast was delicious. Friendly for dogs. Staff were very nice and helped us to store luggage without charging. Very cozy environment:)

A little noisy near the road

The location was good with a short drive to windermere and Ambleside. The room was comfortable and clean and warm with a pretty decent shower. Parking was good and staff was friendly when they were there in the early evening.

I wasn’t too happy about the lack of staff. The room was come and go as you please 24/7 which was good. I didn’t like that we was the only people in the entire building with not a single staff member or even any other guest and no one on site if there was an emergency. The site said breakfast was 8.00 to 10.00 but no staff there to even try to get breakfast. I went down at 11.am and couldn’t even get a coffee as told the machine wasn’t turned on and was given advice to go to the local petrol station down the road by staff. Check out was 10.am but there was no staff on site to check out and had to leave the room key on the pub bar which I found confusing and checked out from a completely empty building.
